Anyone been on this cruise ship yet?
It looks huggeee! Just found out there’s a park.
Just booked for August 2nd 2020 with family friends out of Orlando.
Same group of us go every other year or so.

I usually find a private boat company to take us around one of the islands as an excursion. It’s a little more money than the excursions the cruises sell, but it’s private and you avoid all the crowds which is nice.
Perfect day at Coco bay

I’ll be sure to post lots of pics! And any dock fights that go on lol. 13 months to go!

Got the premium unlimited drinking package.. trouble... last cruise I went in circles trying every single door because I was too drunk to remember my room number. Security came and laughed and said it happens all the time. I bet I could really get lost in this ship!

Kind of lose some of that cruise ship feeling by not seeing the ocean down in the middle of that beast?

Not sure I like it?

I think that might be what they were going for with this ship. I think I read something that said, “you won’t know you are on cruise ship walking the center promenade.” It will be a different experience from the other ships I have been on. It was actually hard picking a room because of the open middle from front and back.

I will most likely be on the pool deck bar and water slides. I like seeing the ocean!

It would be pimp if the room had a door to the balcony on the center promenade side and a window or balcony on the sea side.

That sounds like a Dateline special in the making.

Im going from the LBC to Ensenada pretty soon, my first cruise. Will see if I like it.

Bring lots of dollar bills and $5s. And, downy wrinkle release spray so you don’t have to pay to get your clothes ironed out. It’ll be fun! You don’t feel the ship moving at all. It’s fun with a big group- if you get annoyed, you can disappear for a bit and meet back up at dinner.

That would be cool! Best of both worlds.

Come on RDPers. Book it! No checkpoints, no random safety inspections. And, all you can drink and eat! Docks only big enough for one boat! :D

We do a rdp cruise with a smaller (30/40 of us) group once or twice a year.

I use cruisecompete.com
That way travel agents bid and give you incentives.

For two
Interior room- 2150
Interior room with view to promenade/park-2350
Ocean view- 2500
Balcony $3100
Junior suites -$5000ish
There’s other suites that are $$$

Drink package is another $490
Both people in the room have to get it though.

Not too bad, would assume not including airfare?

No airfare. Also, usually fly in the day before so there’s a hotel stay. Never feel safe enough to fly the same day!

Are you paying for it - or comped as a perk ?
Paying for it- we got $150 onboard credit since it was just an interior room. Royal Caribbean wanted $2470 for the same room, with no on board creditAll the travel agents bids were lower and with onboard credit. Bigger the room, more credit/freebies.

Ironed out? For realsies?
Lol. That was bad. Typing too fast!

Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the seas are sister ships. massive doesn't really grasp how big these things are. How cool would it have been to be involved in the design and concept or building these!?

Rumrunners flasks ..... the only way to cruise :p
Hmm good idea. I have seen those booze concealers for cruise ships. Usually we buy a bottle of good rum at one of the ports and we don’t check it in when we walk back on. So far they haven’t noticed.

Crazy! And to think there’s bigger ship than this!
I think this one has the robot bartender. I’m going to look into the cruise critic site!

It does have the robot bar.

It's not that much bigger. They're basically twins. Symphony can host 39 more guests. Has 12 more staterooms and is "larger" by 2,000 gross tonnage lbs. Not even noticeable. They both offer the same stuff. 1.3billion to build!

Yes. It’s a big F-ing ship!
I just went in the beginning of March. We went to the eastern Caribbean (St. Marteen, Puerto Rico, Haiti). It was my first cruise. It was fun but I don’t plan on taking another cruise again. My brother, who Planned the trip for his and his wife’s 40th birthdays, say it’s the best they’ve been on. They have been on several cruises. There’s some cool things to do on it but I just got bored and thought there was way too many people on it. The service is excellent, and the food was pretty good. I just needed to be off the ship more.
The robotic bar is way cool.

I prefer to travel to one place if it’s a smaller group. If there’s two sea days in a row, I get a little bored. So I totally get that! Bermuda might be a cruise for you if you ever want to cruise again since they stay there for a few days.
I do like to go to Cabo/any resort city) and be there for 5 days. It is a much different experience. Probably more relaxing.

But with 12+ people, it is a headache to go to one resort. Figuring out where to eat, who has kids, who wants to party or chill becomes a lot on a trip. With a cruise, everyone does their own thing on their own bill lol! And, you can meet whenever you want. It takes away all the frustrating choices with a group. The separate bill thing is great! I have been on a trip that when the bill came at dinner- it became extremely awkward.

Can’t wait to try the robot bar! Great pics!

Yes ma'am, I can fully understand getting lost...drunk or sober! I get fuckered up and get lost in tracks of homes that look alike. I would have to have the door facing something notable...like the biggest neon bar sign!
