I've got a pretty good assortment of ICON stuff and been happy with it. That may end up being a starter set for my son. View attachment 1461420

I ended up adding a side box to that, not the full locker, but the shelf. It's not that impressive, but its amazing how fast it fills up.Looks like a TOOL BOX tour is needed….

What’s in the BOX ….
That was a Costco 72" box built by a Canadian company, I overloaded the top drawer and blew out the guides. The drawer fell out of the box and no one could replace them, I welded in a set but had outgrown the box and was just really not happy.
I will play my first box was a snap on road box loaded with snap on everything but I left that in baja and it took me along time to buy another tool. I am an icon fan boy too my box has snap on craftsman and iconLooks like a TOOL BOX tour is needed….

The only thing I don't like is the slide locking deal, the ICON adjustable locks are pretty sweet.
The first tool truck that gave me credit was a MATCO dealer, I just sold the original box he sold me after buying the ICON box, Bought it in the 70's, and gotta say I might have shed a tear that night after BOX ONE left the property.
I don't think the Icon stuff skips sizes. Not sure about Quinn (have liked their sockets so far). The biggest issue I have is Skipped sockets in a set….
Or
Sockets that are not made by a manufacturer to compete a set.
A Buddy was in the market and I suggested Teton

Ya,ll are wayyy to organized!
I think the newer gen 3 boxes are deeper, or open fullyAlso a huge fan of US General, Icon, and Tekton.. Tempted to upgrade to the 56 in a couple days. One thing I hate about the series 2 boxes is that the drawers don't fully extend. The box is already pretty shallow so you gotta get a bit creative.

Also, if you are patient, you can find great deals on scratched/dented Icon boxes. Certain units are damn-near perfect

I struggled knowing the gen three boxes were coming, but I still didn't like the slide lock, and my wife signed off on the high priced box, so that made my mind up, I also have a rolling flip lid cart I use in the driveway to avoid trips to the big box.No deeper, but they do completely open
My stuff ain't anymore! Some bounces down the road in a trailer, and gets thrown into a road box to bounce in the back of a Prius. Some less commonly used stays at home in the rollcab, and some stays in 3 drawer filing cabinets...Ya,ll are wayyy to organized!
I make up excuses to open a tool box, its a bad addiction. I love looking at tools
You wanna se my sons shop truck?????My stuff ain't anymore! Some bounces down the road in a trailer, and gets thrown into a road box to bounce in the back of a Prius. Some less commonly used stays at home in the rollcab, and some stays in 3 drawer filing cabinets...
It's a damn pawn shop circus
I paid 3k for a Prius 4 years ago. Put almost 70k on it. At any given time it may have 3-4k in tools on board. Keeping overhead low when I can!You wanna se my sons shop truck?????
He generally hauls more tools than the car is worth in the hatch, but its priceless, great mileage, and is a work horse. the tool kit I just bought is for his garage.....

The kid paid $4.5K for the honda, and you can see he is a car guy, 105K on it, and he looked at Prius but went with an ICE package, I laughed, but he has proven me wrong, pretty smart kid.I paid 3k for a Prius 4 years ago. I bought the POS because my daily was an Excursion...and Biden had just "won" the election. At the time, it was really because I'd take two trips into town everyday, so 40 miles a day. Then it became weekly trips to Phoenix for medical appointments. Somewhere in there it became, well I became, a mobile mechanic person. The kid paid $4.5K for the honda, and you can see he is a car guy, 105K on it, and he looked at Prius but went with an ICE package, I laughed, but he has proven me wrong, pretty smart kid.
I probably have parts and the time to sort that.I bought the POS because my daily was an Excursion...and Biden had just "won" the election. I'd still love to find a rolled or totaled Prius to cut up and put under an 80's Toyota pickup...old school mini-truck style with hammers
Slide lock takes a bit of getting used to but I prefer it. You don't need to jar the drawer opening or closing it and knock over anything that standing up in it, like the detent drawers.I struggled knowing the gen three boxes were coming, but I still didn't like the slide lock, and my wife signed off on the high priced box, so that made my mind up, I also have a rolling flip lid cart I use in the driveway to avoid trips to the big box.
My old box everything ended up in the back of the drawers from that exact reason. Pre set tension with no adjustment, It took awhile but I have the new box dialed with the adjustable tension, It was a pain at first but i like it now that its setup.Slide lock takes a bit of getting used to but I prefer it. Toolboxes that look like that typically don't get opened that oftenMan, all y’all’s got some pretty toolboxes. You got housekeepers that come by and tidy up once a week? Lol.
I know a guy. Need to narrow a rear? There’s the kit with bushings and shafts, welders over there. Pan break if you need some sheet metal work etc. Guy has NEVER BUILT A THING.Toolboxes that look like that typically don't get opened that often
Just bought a 72” US General base for our son’s Christmas gift. Also grabbed the largest Craftsman tool set to go in it. Now he has a place to put thIngs in his garage rather than in random places. Surprised that he we rather excited to me making him the offer to buy the set up.
I bought my nephew a full bank cart last yearr in his favorite color - Orange ! Loaded it up with misc stuff - I figured it was a good start for him. He just finished college w/ an engineering degree. He is very talented

Val is hot as F! I bet she has a VEERRRY easy time selling things. The ICON stuff is surprising good. I just started small with a couple ratchets to verify quality and must say I am surprised. I have a couple daily mechanic friends that have huge tool boxes of Snap On and they started buying ICON a year ago and now only buy from HF.
I will say though, I have this Snap On dealer on my social media named Val, and I like to hear her marketing on Snap On products.
If she was in my territory, I'd have a huge Snap On collection.Val is hot as F! I bet she has a VEERRRY easy time selling things.
We ALL would!!If she was in my territory, I'd have a huge Snap On collection.
