Got me a genuine hangover today, actually puked last night been a while since I did that. One thing I have noticed is my hangovers have changed in the last 10 years. Last night I polished off 80% of a Captain Morgan handle, puked, whatever. Weird thing is my last couple hangovers I wake up feeling like a champ and get progressively get worse thru the day. A few years ago I would wake up and immediately knew I was in trouble and fukd from the start. Weird how it's evolved the last couple years. Have yours changed??

My wife gets "hand grenade hangovers" - fine in the morning, then shitty in the afternoon.

My hangovers start the minute I wake up. And they get worse as I get older.

I found as I got older what works for me is, a drink than a water, a drink, than a water, I can last much longer, and I don't feel half bad the next day. Oh I'am 54 so i have been using this method for year's.

Mine are terrible. Take me out till about 6pm the following day. Headache, throwing up etc. I have to agree, hair of the dog is the only thing that helps. It doesn't make it go away, but it helps. Last year New Years Eve, I spent the day puking in Ol RiverDaves bathroom from partying the night before. A complete waste of a day. Everyone was out having a grand ol time and I was stuck inside throwing up. I've cut back on the shots and that helps.

I think as you get older you drink just as hard as you did when you were young but your doing it less often so the hangovers are worse. I drink every night of the week but I don't blow it out 3 or 4 nights a week like I use too.

I used to tear it - go on two week benders, it would kick my ass for a day.

Now if I tear it up for one day I'm hungover for two weeks

....it's the circle of life :D

I know I can't drink during the week anymore, no way ill make it to work on time. I used to be able to go out on a Tuesday and be out till midnight- one am, not anymore...

I don't think you are much older than me. Your under 40 aren't you ?

I'm 36. It was like a light switch to me. Used to drink all night. Wake up at 7am. Pop a couple Advil, grab a cup of coffee and off to work I'd go. Now, forget about it. I don't even drink much anymore.

My hangovers are not worse, but I get sloshed way faster! I think it is my body's way of keeping me from suffering too much the next day. It may also be the fact that I work out and possibly sweat it out.

Are you looking for a work out partner?

If I wake up hungover I do several things, a painkiller, a bloody beer, and cook a greasy breakfast... Seems to help my day

In my younger days a good cure for a hangover was a bong rip. Bilgie can verify that. :D

It equates to one bag of iv solution and some oxygen... fix ya up fast

I remember back there was someone on here that was an emt and used to brings IV bags on river trips for hangovers. Those gotta work great.

I think the Cherry bombs are weaker than christies drinks , only thing I can figure out. I drink her cocktails and I'm headed for a quick nap somewhere, guaranteed :grumble:
So I stick to the cherries and a shot or two maybe a cocktail and I'm good :thumbsup:cool

Except last trip, OD1's wife made me a "Gooding Special" in their big gulp cup and I was pretty buzzed when we got to RR :p:drnkfr

bag and a blast. Gotta know a paramedic....truly the only cure besides time and the next night sleep.

stay away from the sugar shots and the soda pop and you will survive...

Christy is no stranger to a strong pour. That's why I drink beer at RR. ;)

My nephew is a paramedic. Anytime we over do it we got I.V.'s hanging from lamp shades, corner of the t.v., what ever works :thumbsup:D

It absolutely gets you back on your feet quick

The added bonus is that when you freeze the I.V. bags they work great to keep the food cold without everything getting everything soggy in the ice chest

Since I'm 44 years old I finally took my mom's advice about hangovers she tried to give me in my late teens. If I woke up with a hangover she would ask "What were you drinking". Then the next question was "How many did you have". Then the ole "Well, next time have one less":D I've been doing it long enough to know where I stand, errr, or fall down:D:D
