If not downtown, the neighborhood off Jacob Row usually goes all out.
Thats us
Gets busier every year
They put out the speed limit sign and sheriff cruises all night
After 100 kids we shut the lights off lol

Jamming to some Metallica before the Mrs. gets home, waiting on the first brave little ghouls to show up. 😎🤘

Been in our house for about 10 years now, first couple of Halloweens was great, handed out a couple big bags. Great neighborhood for trick-or-treating too.

Then the city started doing a trunk or treat on the weekend before Halloween and the trick-or-treaters dried up. This year I had 2 groups, and that's it, maybe 8 kids total.

I hate Halloween but it kind of sucks... I'm conflicted. LOL.

Well, as much as there is, it will be gone before 9pm tonight. 🤓

^^ That's 2100 pieces of candy, plus two boxes of fruit snacks, plus two boxes of Rice Krispie Treats, plus 24 pounds of mixed Costco assortment. This is on a 3'x5' table! 😲

That is insane. I use 2 of those bags total and usually have left overs if some kid doesn't take the whole bowl while I am out. Are you one of those people that sit out front because I can't imagine getting up to answer the door that many times.

Yes it’s a strainer…. Not one kid yet.. last year was two… MaK cleaned house on our street tonight 👀🤣.

I think we’re too far north for the Phoenix commuter crowds that flood the burbs…

…Didn’t get around to getting any candy… If any kids show up, they’re just gonna have to settle for TV dinners🤷🏽‍♀️

I did good.

Passed out more candy than I ate. 😂

We had about 25 kids. 😕 The last family that came by said there was a big turn out at the local park.

Lots of respectful kids saying "Thank you" all night long with involved parents watching from the sidewalk. All walks of life. Total impressed. It's not what you read on Social Media these days, but there really are good kids and parents out there. Had the World Series on, warm weather, all the Dads wearing flip flops and shorts coming by for beers, love the Fall...

Guessing we ended the night with 25-30 kids. A few larger/older than kids. Had a good night with friends/neighbors.

Highlight was a young mother with her first kid. (They just bought place on the next street). She asked if this was the house with the haunted house. She used to come by as a kid😬.

Well, it was another AMAZING Halloween here in our neighborhood! We made it til almost 10:00pm before the herds of kids slowed to a trickle. We managed to go through all of our candy and this is all that's left......

PXL_20231101_051416406.jpg

The first little one showed up around 4:30pm today, and it was nonstop until almost 10:00pm! My wife and kids managed to eat dinner while I held down the front porch. Of course, there was no jambalaya left for me. LMAO!! We cleaned up enough to let folks know we were finished for the evening, turned off the lights, closed the front door and called it quits.

My wife and I estimate somewhere around 3,000 kids this year.....and that's a very conservative estimate. What a great time!!! 👍👍

My wife made a trip down the street and snapped a few pictures, just to give you an idea what this madness is all about.

These guys were jamming most of the night. I heard them playing a rendition of "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, and it sounded really good! I have no idea who they were, but they were pretty dang good!

Here is a picture on one of the street showing a decent crowd. Some of these folks were waiting on line to go through a haunted house. This is one of the streets that the city closes down which is really nice.

The haunted house ran until about 10:30 tonight, but you can still hear people out and about. It's a lot of work, but it's so much fun for all the kids. Like I said a few posts back, another fantastic Halloween!! I can't wait for next year! 😎🤘

I don't get any kids at my house so didn't buy candy. I'm going to go into Walmart in a few minutes and see if they have anything left worth buying treat wise.

Bought 4 bags last minute when i picked up all the little kids on my block some legit candy bars, had 10 or so treaters, so its looks like it going to be milky way/reeses peanut butter cup week for me.

They had a few boxes of assorted mini chocolate bars. All Canadian except one the Kit Kat. The box was 50% off. I was hoping for a box of assorted potato chips.

Two, 4 lb Costco bags of the good stuff. Nearly 40 bones in candy. Fortunately for us we had a bunch of kids.

I quit counting at 200. My wife just loves all the kids. At about 8 pm came the bowl dumps and all we have is a small bowl for us.

Not a big candy muncher so next year....slices of pizza and beer. So if you look 5 and dont have ID no soup for you. ;) 😁

I tell all of our canadian neighbors don't come across the border without coffee crisp

Yes, Coffee Crisp, Aero, and CDN Smarties. Different than what Americans call Smarties.

The Hawkins Cheesies are ok. Costco sells out fast at my location because two prisons shop there and they buy pallets of them for the prisoners.
