3 hours after work, this shitty old paint is the plague, it will probably take years for it to come off 🙈
Hi Snorre,

I am sure some of the members here are curious about boating in Germany. Could you post some pics of your local boating area? (Lake, River, etc) The typical type of boats? And the tow vehicles that tow those boats to the ramp. I know I am curious as to what boating in Germany looks like. I am sure others are too!

Show us some pics!

Thank you!

I'm happy to share a few impressions from a boater from Germany. Here we're only allowed to go 9 km/h 🙈 and on large lakes 25 km/h. There are 3 rivers where you can go as fast as you can.

What exhaust manifolds do you have for it?
I think I have a vintage Edelbrock small block front cover with mounting feet if ya need one.
I don't know about the manifolds yet, I'm still collecting parts, show me the bridge and what's your price if it fits, do you also ship to Germany?

Well, the front cover was given to me and I never really looked it over.
It’s a cool old piece but sadly, as happens with a lot of these cast covers, the backside of the water outlets are corroded really badly. So it’s not a piece I would run.
I looked around eBay…not much there in the way of small block marine manifolds and mounts.
The price on the exhaust manifolds are double what they should be.

Translation (from Google translate) first post -

"I'm new here because I bought a boat that I want to renew but I'm not sure if it's a Shiaha 19 built???

I still need information from you experts please."

I'm thinking he means Schiada?

Dan'l
Welp, it looks like it may have been in the water at one point so, nope, not a Schiada.

thanks for the offer but the cover is dead, I still have Edelbrock and Hiteck marine manifolds but I think I'll install dry manifolds ✌️

I can't use the rear bracket, my motor goes directly to the gearbox without a tunnel

Just a heads up, that v drive is made for a totally different boat. Look at the other pics of the Halletts in this thread. Where the motor sits.
Your set up will result in a very ill handling boat at BEST. At worst could be life threatening.

Greetings , I see a Camshaft you received in the prior photos , perhaps the cam card specs if you have them , It may be critical assuming you intend to use those exhaust logs/manifolds or the Aussie through hulls

thanks for the info but this camshaft is for the case that I drive dry manifolds, I know that with wet manifolds the engine could take in water

but on the other hand my engine from another boat with stage 2 camshaft and wet open exhaust has been running for 3 years without problems ✌️

… I have never seen that set up before in a Vdrive…
… My 63 Hallett would purpose like crazy with a 406 Ford in the standard flat bottom mounting position… I had to scour around to find an adjustable cavitation plate set up to stop the purposeing… I’m thinking… With your motor being mounted way forward that you may not have a major purposing problem… It looks like someone did it that way at one time in your boat..: I guess you are going to find out🤷🏽‍♀️… Best of luck to you with this project👍

According to my measurements, the engine is exactly in the middle of the engine box like the original. Due to the heavier gearbox, the center of gravity is set further forward and I can do without the GRP fuel tanks under the seats. Practice makes perfect, there is still a lot of work to do ✌️
