I started with a toon. Now I'm headed to the dark side. Wake boat. We are changing up our boating program.
I love this boat, can't believe I'm trying to sell it. I'm in Havasu now, putting some hours on it.

How long have you owned this?

Is this Steve's old boat?

It seems like he has put those wheels on a few of his boat trailers in the past

What are you looking at for wake boats? I am pondering selling my G25

I’ve owned probably a dozen of them, and been in virtually all of them it seems. All have pros/cons, each are a different animal. Feel free to ask questions, it’s the best way to learn.

Is it the intent to ski with the boat? If so that eliminates some right away! Tube? Wakeboard? Just surf? What is your typical place of boating, water conditions plays a part.

I hope you can get use to a top speed of 38-40 mph with a cruising speed of about 30-32mph. Wake board boats are a different animal on the river. I’ve owned a 2004 Mastercraft X10 and a 2021 MB Sport Tomcat F21. Both we perfect for Canyon Lake, CA but we struggled with the harsh ride and the slow cruising speed at the river / Havasu. I've had three Halletts (Vector, 19SS, and a 245) and I regret selling all of them.

Wake surf in Havasu is what I'm looking to do. Best wake I can find is what I'm looking for. I've been looking around and it seems wake surf specific boats started in around 2015 (??), or at least a deep V type of hull. Interested in what you think.

This is the what I'm worried about. I started with a 23 foot pontoon, with a 90 Johnson on the back. With that boat you could pick 1 destination for the day. We could make it to Pirates and back on one tank of gas, and it was an all day adventure. It was fine as I had a big stereo, we were going so slow people would just party while going to our destination. First day on the water with the Hallett I asked the wife where she wanted to go. She said Steamboat, so I headed to Steamboat, got there in a couple minutes, when I backed off the throttles she asked why we were stopping. I told her we were there, she was shocked. The Hallett eats up whatever Havasu can throw at her. It's a smooth ride on the Hallett. Going to miss it, and wish I could have both.

bump to the top. I finally got my truck out of the repair shop. I'm headed to Havasu this weekend June 21-23. If anyone wants to check it out let me know. Have fun, I know I am.

What kind of speed are you getting out of that with the straight bottom? How much does it weight? I'd like to go Hallett, just not sure if I want to go back to the 90s. Very nice looking boat! Great configuration with the mid cabin.

I baby this boat so I've never really put it to the wood. Also, I've never had a GPS on it, the speed gauge is more of an estimate. I've been told I could see low 70's for top speed. Cruising speed is between 45 and 50 when I'm running around.

The thing is not a sports car, it's more of a Cadillac ride the thing cuts though the chop without issue as it has a fairly sharp entry V.
