Hello! Is anyone about to, or know someone about to sell their 2005 (or newer) Hallett 270 or 300 MCOB? I prefer blue motors, but wouldn't rule out black motors. Maybe someone plans on listing theirs after HIH? Fingers crossed! :)

We’ll probably never sell ours. We’re all gonna end up like the OG Campbell boat owners.

I hear ya man. I've got something under a cover in the garage that I'll probably never sell either. However, I'd like to put a vessel beside it that I'll never sell. Perhaps, you'd like to help make my dream a reality? Show me the way...

My Havasu next door neighbor is looking for the same. He keeps passing on good ones, so they’re out there. The only tip I’ve got is to be first to show up. Worked for us.

Thanks for the response. I actually looked at a 2004 270 MCOB, but quickly realized it doesn't have any more room than my current 25' Cobalt. I thought about updating the thread, but didn't think anyone cared. lol The 270 is an awesome boat, but I'm looking for something bigger. Mine is 25' plus the swim platform, weighs 5k lbs and we had 9 on it last weekend. I'm hoping a 300 is going to "feel" big enough.

30 is way bigger than a 27. 3 feet makes a huge difference in these boats.

I'm hoping. I have an eye on a 300T MCOB. There is a 300T closed bow on my home lake. The owner bought it from Havasu many years ago and had it shipped to Cumberland. I'm hoping we can see it this weekend, just to see the cockpit. Once I convince the boss we can do water sports behind it and 70 will feel like 40-50 in our 25', I'm golden.

The 30 is a perfect boat that does everything well. Which MCOB?

About 500 hours. It was an 80 mph boat. Then I installed a GPS speedo. Now its a 72 mph boat.
Takes mucho HP to make a straight bottom 27 fast. Built for comfort not speed.

So true. I have had this Hallet for the last 9 years. Its a great boat. But its not ever going to be the fastest boat on the lake.

I found a 300T MCOB through a friends friend. Although, I'm not sure how serious he is about selling. I've talked with the current owner, a local broker about overseeing the deal, the Nordic factory about an inspection and a transporter to get it home. If he wants to sell, it'll happen this month.

Update. In 23 hours and 45 minutes, I flew from Cincy to Vegas, drove to Havasu, toured this awesome lake in a 300 MCOB (saw several areas, including the party area near London Bridge, etc...), drove back to Vegas and caught a flight home. Probably the most action-packed 24 hours I've had in a while! Contract was initialed, deposit taken, sea trial was good. Just waiting for some final clarifications to make it a done deal. I don't want to jinx the deal with pictures and specifics, but here's a pic I took Saturday. I also just posted a question about the teak and holly wood floor in another thread.

Boats are one thing I typically don’t buy new, but might have to investigate that option.

What’s your question on the teak and holly floor? I just redid mine on my 300T MCOB

Well, the deal fell through unfortunately. I’m back looking for a 300 MCOB. My research shows that a 30’ Hallett is one of the few 30’ boats that actually has a ski rope eye and will handle occasional water sports. 80-90% cruising and 10-20% water sports for teenage kids. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have something. I have transportation arrangements and funds for the purchase.

Cutting open a closed deck is a good option. You will probably have an easier time finding one.
