From 2000 to 2012 my boys and I spent weekends at every MX track in So. Cal. During their young years ages 10-16, I did my darndest to direct their focus on the calculated side to the sport and not Free Style. They both idolized, Ricky, James, Dungy to name a few. Hydrating the day before, in bed by 9 pm at the track when the Mob was out till midnight. One national at Pala 2011 when my youngest turned intermediate, following the race there was a gathering at the casino, kid headed over to check it out with buddies. Who do you suppose was not on the fray inside? There was Dungey in the lobby with his gallon jug of water. True commitment! This impression has stuck with my son to this day. The stunts these Free style guys perform is nothing short of amazing, I admire them for that. I just don't see all the elements nneded for success in life after moto.

It looks to me like Deegan, Hart, Pastrana, Twitch and most of the rest of them are all doing pretty well.

And yes Dungey is Mr clean cut All American champion. Moto would be boring if 40 Dungeys lined up on Saturday. I like the fact that we have a Webb, Anderson, Plessinger and a whole bunch of other personalities out there.

I met Deegan while boating 15+ years ago, we were at the cove off of Devils Elbo. He was on his managers 28 Daytona. He was a nice enough guy.
