So it was a 1100 - 1050 at half throttle? :D

(Was born, but not yesterday.. That didn't look like any dyno pull I've ever seen.. LOL)

At about 1:19 in the clip the engine was at 4000 RPM, then as the camera left the tach, you could hear the RPM increase, watch some steam, hear the Whipple whine,, from what I could see on the computer, made a peak torque of around 1121 ft/lbs at close to 4900 or 5000 RPM (could not read the numbers), and max horsepower of 1213 (I didn't write it down, may be off a couple) somewhere around or just over 6,000 RPM.

It's likely that Rudy paused at around 4,000 RPM to monitor all the readings prior to loading it all the way down and hammering it.

Hey. I started turning My hard anno Weiand SBC at 1.75-2.25; that's 144 Cubes to 383 at 9500 apparent altitude.

Real boost is hard to beat, The motor didn't blow but the transom did.

Let's hear some more!!!

hello bilgerat, i was wondering if you could answer some questions for me....do you do your high speed time lapse by video or by digital cam and software? i would like to put one in the booth for a more seamless explanation of the gelcoating process. i sent you a pm a few days back, and was just wondering which way i should go, before i just make the plunge, albiet blind. thnx, tom

love the videos by the way.........especially the speedster tooling. that is the kind of video im talking about, and top notch:thumbsup

Who was the interior guy talking in the video?

By the way Jamie, we need some BEFORE shots as well as the after shots.. People I think get a better understanding of the work involved when they see a train wreck turn into a work of art. (not that this was a train wreck, just saying)

Kind of unusual to see cable / quadrant steering in a big cruiser like that.. Any torque steer or is it hard to turn left?

Here are a couple of photos the day after it came out of Scott Kornowski's shop for all new gelcoat. The owner stopped by to show me on his way back to town.

I have known Ron Tesarski over 30 years, and he basically does not do interiors, but as you could tell by his interview, he feels some attachment to this boat, and did it more or less as personal favor. We took the seats and side panels to him out of the boat to make it a bit easier as well.

Note that this boat was originally put together by GT Performance (around 1990 as Ron stated), and that was one of the main reasons it went back to GT. Cable steering like it has, is responsive and reliable. This boat won at least one high points championship that I am aware of, may have been one of the years I raced behind it.

I helped remove everything from the boat, and actually am in the process of freshening up the 540 Gentry turbo engine.
