Anyone have a review?
Metal thickness?
I remember someone talking about them on here but can't find it.

I'm on year 8 with my Daniel Boone, replaced the Wi Fi board and igniter that's it, sits on the deck through pretty nasty seasons.

I’ve got one the only problem I had was something got jammed in the auger ( not GMs fault) and burned up the drive motor. I called GM and they had a new motor to me the next day. Great customer service. It’s been a great machine, had it about ten years.

I have one, it's probably at least 10 years old. Outperforms my friends Traeger by a long shot. Holds the heat in a lot better and is more consistent.
Had the temp sensor go out about 5 years ago, contacted them and they sent me a new one for free.

I have one, and honestly I think there are better brands out there.

The GMG struggles to maintain temp as it gets way too hot by 30-40 degrees and the igniter goes out way too often.

I had one, and really didn’t like it.

I replaced it with a Recteq, and I’m loving it. The Recteq holds the heat far better, conserving pellets, and holding consistent temperature even in cooler weather. With the Green Mountain, wintertime grilling was a fail, which was a problem here in the Northwest, and even in summer it varied too much.

The only problem with Recteq is cost. I paid $1200 for mine about two years ago, including the wheeled cabinet (it came standard as a built-in for $900). The current price for the same unit (new model #, might be slightly upgraded), without the cabinet, is $2975. 😳

Mine came with a thermal blanket that I've used from day one and the temp stays dead nuts the whole time, much like anything else everyone's experiences may differ.

I had the biggest and littlest GMG. They worked well for me but the recteq is superior in function and heat control. Really good app too.

I have 3 GMGs and have 2 still. I liked my Daniel Boone best and have the pizza oven.

I have never had an issue but I live in socal, I'm never cooking under 60° outside temp so I don't really feel like I need the blanket

@Eliminator21vdrive if you are looking for a top notch pellet smoker look at Yoder, they are not cheap but definitely worth the money.

I have had a GMG for more than 12 years, at the time it was the largest one they made. It doesn't have the built in WIFI control board but has been great and well worth the 650.00 outlay at the time. Yes, it has hot spots and the thermocouple went out once about 7 years ago, but GMG sent me a new one the next day at no charge. My 2nd EX bought me a thermo blanket (looks and feels like a welding blanket for it) back in 2019 for Xmas and it really evened out the cook times and pellet usage in Everett WA in the winter. Not sure about today, but when mine was purchased, the body was made in China, but controls, auger and electronics were made in the US.

I still use mine several times a year and it has always been out in the damp, cold environment of the PNW. I do vacuum out the burn pot before every use though, do not rely on the fan just blowing the ashes out, especially after a long smoke. I used mine for Christmas dinner this year with a couple hundred dollars in meat on it and was thinking that I would like a new one, but it still functions as it did when it was new. The casters have been through 5 different dogs pissing on them since I got it and it is still structurally it is holding up.

If you want an upper end pellet smoker and don't mind spending the money, go for it. If you are more budget minded and still want a well-built smoker, I would highly recommend a Green Mountain Grill.

way better than any treager that's for sure, I have 2 and about the temp swings, its about playing with the heat deflectors, each smoker has its sweet spot. After playing around with them , its all bout set it and forget it.

I second " 4Waters" above. Look at the Yoder. It's built like a tank and is very reliable. My cousin sold his Traeger about 10 years ago and got a Yoder. Zero problems and smokes much better than the lower-end priced pellet grill brands, I am going with a drop-in pellet grill as we do our backyard in our Havasu home, but if I wanted one on wheels, it's a no-brainer to go with the Yoder. Good luck.

I have had the Davey Crocket for like 5 years. It never regulated or kept temp that well and for portable it was heavy and awkward.
