Always nice to get a collect call from jail from someone close to me, in for a parole violation that they did to themselves and told their PO that they were using again(MJ) and showed up to the meeting, or whatever it is called, DRUNK. Who does that shit? Who? YOU FUCKING DUMBSHIT!!!

Saying a year/18 months.

So sad, and just brings down the day for me.

DAMN IT WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LIVE LIFE RIGHT!!!

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks peeps, just had to vent a bit.

Anyone else deal with this? What do you say? What do you do after the call? I'm sad.

I'm going to go tear up some metal.

Don't call, please.

Thanks,

Brian

I've got a brother that's worse than that. You ain't alone, trust me. Hard to believe we have the same parents sometimes. Some people are just stupid.

ive done my best to stay away from people like that. they are a trainwreck and the more you sit and watch the worse you're going to feel in the end... and do you really want to associate you and your family to someone like that? I wouldnt. Ive had friends in the past that I've dropped simply because of their bad decisions in life. They dont reciprocate any effort or positivity into our relationship... time to move on.

On the radio is Jack and Diane.

"Oh yea, life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone"

"Hold on to 16 as long as you can, changes coming around real soon, make us women and men."

Growing up isn't all rosy.

A close friend of mine went through all kinds of stuff, then gave up and took his life. I gave up on him and stopped associating myself with him completely. You never know, always keep one ear open , you never know :(

I got a call like that years ago. I just laughed at him and told him not to bend over to pick up the soap. Haven't seen him since.

There's probably not much you can do although it seems you want to help. Don't beat yourself up over it, some people just can't take responsibility for their actions.

an old friend of mine did shit kinda like that.

he was a very good friend of mine at the time and i wanted to see my friends succeed. he was in and out of jail a couple of times and was using different drugs.

he was one of the best guitarists i have ever heard play ... i'm not just saying that because he was a friend of mine. he had a natural talent when it came to playing the guitar. he couldn't golf for shit and he was horrible at other things, but when he picked up the guitar, things were different for him. i truly thought he was going to be a rockstar.

i gave him a place to stay in my home and even co-signed for a truck for him once he got a job. he was doing great for a while until he decided to get drunk one day and try to fight people on the freeway. back to jail for him. once he got out, he basically gave up.

sat around all day getting high in my house and driving my truck around. i ended up getting a call at 630am one morning from the collectors. he hadn't paid the payment for 3 months. i know now that is was mainly my fault for not keeping track of it myself, but it is what it is. i kicked him out.

saw him a few months later at a wedding. we were both kinda drunk and we talked. everything was supposed to be cool. haven't heard from him since that day. that was roughly 10 years ago.

Some people just never learn, At a certain point you just have to say fuck it, and stop letting them be a burden on your life, in any matter, financially, socially, emotionally. Pretty much move on and stop dealing with them.

You just can't fix stupid/lazy sometimes......

I feel for you Brian.

My 43 year old sister is a freaking disaster. In and out of rehab, jail, and whatever. Currently ruining my mothers life. What a way to spend your golden years. Gave up her 11 year old daughter for drugs and alcohol.

I tried like hell to help my sister and only ended up buried in her pile of shit. Then she attempted to use my kids behind my back. That was fucking it.

People like this cannot be helped. Not in anyway, shape, or form. Their fate is up to them. As of now she does not exist.

I tell you this Brian so you don't beat yourself over it. Sure sucks.
