No. 1 rule on those south FL canals is never clean fish and throw the waste in near homes or where you don't want the gators to show up.

Snowbirds are real good at screwing this simple rule up and then someone must get rid of the new visitor.:yikes

We lived on a river passing through Bonita Springs back in the early '70's. What was cool and startl4d the shit out of me one evening sitting there enjoying a cold one, was a 4' Tarpon coming fully out and crashing down about 15' off the dock.:skull

You never know in FL what kind of wildlife will just seem to appear out of nowhere.

Such a great place to be on the Gulf Coast.
