Well the thing has been running all afternoon. They can't find anything. I guess I take my chances and drive it home tonight.

Not that it helps now but I had a friend who has a Ford Raptor/150 and that pos wouldn't start in the cold. He would take it to ford and nothing was ever wrong with it. It just didn't like the cold. ;)

Tow companies are looking to make a buck, and they pull no punches.

I had a quick stop to make at my own condo back in the day. Some other joker was in my spot, so I parked in a red zone for 15 minutes. I came out and my car had been towed. It was 11:30 at night. I call the cops and it takes a while to find out where my car is, but they tell me.

I get to the tow yard at 12:45 a.m. Since the care was there past midnight, I was charged for the tow and TWO DAYS storage. :(

I love all the shady tow truck comments. Lol. Did paul get screwed? Perhaps. Could he have avoided it all? Yes! He could have waited for the morning to move the truck. Hell, that POS could have fired up on its own in the morning. Lol.

People get towed because THEY fucked up. Park in a red zone and a private property impound guy is gonna get you. They get contracted by properties to keep red zones clear because they can get huge fines. 5 seconds 15 min 5 hours. If you are not in an emergency vehicle or work for a dept. YOU CANT PARK THERE! If you get in an accident and your shit needs to be towed. Get your shit out on scene and let it go to the yard. Release it to your insurance and let them pay to get it out. The customer is in control. Ask questions. Dont try and get towed toba dealership on a sunday night at midnight. Especially if you are not going with the truck! I hate crooked tow companies. I can name so many. We deal with all of them for our insurance comtract we have. Its crazy what they get away with. If ibdid what they did id be in jail!

That's funny....but deep down inside you know what brand owner is usually walking home :eek
I don't think its even debatable based on facts

Lol.. the only thing GM ever did right was their engines. I owned 2 different trucks and a Suburban. All 3 were horrible vehicles. I vowed never to own another GM made truck in my life.. that was 18 years ago. [emoji6]

You threw in the towel right before they came out with the good trucks. The 99-up trucks are hard to kill

When the miles are on a tow truck, does it matter?

How long did your brakes last? I'm at 143,000 on the original pads and rotors on my 2007 2500 [emoji3]

Still have the same ones. Got new tires a few months ago and they said by the time I get to the next set of tires, I should do the brakes at that time too.

Tow truck operators have their finger on the pulse of which truck breaks most of the two.

Ask Andrew what it is that he drives and end this debate once and for all. ;)

145k on my 04 half ton silverado, 50% pad life left, some tail light bulbs, wipers, finally a battery 2 years ago, and some tires, that's it. Best purchase I ever made.
