Love that paint. Your car reminds of the 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente that belonged to one of my Dad's employees. I was seven at the time, still remember the guys name, Percy Keams. He bought it from Nestor Motors, the Mercury dealer in Holbrook.

The car obviously left an impression on my kid self.

It is. It also shares alot of those features with the ranchero. My old neighbor restored a ranchero with falcon and caliente body parts. There are slight differences but not much. "Caliente" was the name of his ranchero.

I had that exact same car in black. 4 speed close ratio Muncie.

Beautiful car SummitKarl, if you ever run across a nearly identical twin to your Falcon, that's my brother who has had his since he was 16. Recently reassembled it with independent front suspension and freshened-up 289 with a T-10 4-speed, it's only a matter of time before you run into him there in Havasu. Take care of that piece of history buddy!
