Haven't asked about the price. Going with Merc power, 560 or 565 I think??? Cap has turned out great! Waiting on some hardware and they are starting to build interior now. I'll try to get some more progress pics next week.
Looking at a deck boat / walk through cat now myself.
Couple questions I don't see a vacuum bag shot. Is this boat bagged? Is it a vinylester boat?
The step looks a little short at least in the picts I see here but they could be misleading . Is there a better pict of the step?
Speaking of steps is it a 25 ft boat with a 2 (1.5) ft step? how big is the "boat only" part of the rig?
How much of the interior is inserted VS "built in" if that question makes sense.
It looks like there are some big holes that need to be filled but I can't see enough of the inside of the mold to actually tell
Whats it weigh unrigged and rigged with a BBC and a bravo w/steering or an ITS. Im wondering if the detailing on the back of the transom will make fitment of external steering easier or more difficult, visually the detailing is a nice touch.
Thanks!

Stopped by Friday and really am impressed by this 270! The lines and interior set up are right on. And all the "Numbers" are incredible. Can't wait til the open house..
Open house? When? And what will they have on showcase?

The dates of the open house haven't been determined just yet. The plan is the this new Python will be highlighted boat. Cobra has a couple other new builds in progress, (like CoolCruzin's 26!!!) and a 26 Venom C, plus several well cared for used boats, from a 21 to a 32.
Dave,
I know Cam will be getting some more detailed answers, but I'll try to answer some for you now.
The running surface is 26, the swim step puts it slightly over 27'. The hull is based on the 26 Venom, which has proved to be a good running efficient hull.
It is a "traditional" layup. I'm not 100% on the materials or the layup schedule.
The interior is about 90% molded, with very little left to be built in. The idea was to make a boat with really 2 molds, hull and deck/interior, making the boat simpler to build, and in the long run a stronger boat.
Not sure what the target weight is, but as it comes along we can get you that info. the detailing on the transom was measured out to not interfere with hydraulic steering, and will give a recess inside the engine compartment to run hidden rigging.
Boat looks good...can't wait to see it in the water.
Not sure what I think about the speaker instalation...strange placement as opposed to being in side panels.
Wow looks awesome on the water!
Would be nice to hear how it ran???
Can't wait to hear and see how the first weekend went.
It ran in the high 80's with a 565?

I wasn't there, that's what I was told. I will confirm tomorrow.
