Hello Lake Travis. The wife and I just moved from LHC to the Austin,Tx/Lake Travis Area. We decided to move due to the declining economy in Havasu, and just to try out something new. We love the area here. Anybody else out here in Texas?

I travel a lot. Austin & Dallas are my favorites places. I would seriously think of moving. Clean, new, affordable and people are great. If you like to eat good food and perfectly chilled beer - Texas is the place!

I must say I've seen some Texas areas that have intrigued me....but all my kids and grandkids are here keeping me close.

My wife and I also left but not to Texas. I say you keep the name I kept mine. I hope to return to Havasu as a full time resident again someday, until then I visit as much as I can, good luck on your new adventure.

Austin is bad ass... If my business didn't keep me tied up here, I would move there in a heartbeat. Awesome lake, nice homes, Devil's Cove, awesome boats, super nightlife including 6th Street, beautiful women... just not too much negative that I could say about it.

Welcome to Texas!! You just missed the heatwave, unless Havasu has one meaner. I live in Galveston, and yeah it's a total wreck along with Houston and other coastal cities. I did get to party in Austin on 6th street and had alot of fun. :beer I have at least 6 more months of getting my place back in order and maybe by that time I'll drag my boat up that way and check out some of the lakes.......as long as gas prices stays down.
