Just got back from the vet. We had to put our Pug Willow to sleep. She was almost 7, just after her 2nd birthday she had a problem with here spine that caused her to be unable to walk and in the last 6 months she lost her eyesight. She has needed a lot of care the past 5 years. We could tell she was just over it tonight and it was time to rest. Good buy Willow.

It's rough losing our pets. We all love them, and they return the love many times over.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, namba.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Likewise, sorry to hear this, went through the same thing 8wks ago. Still think about him everyday. I gain comfort from the memories of the long, happy life he had, the time we spent together and the fact that he is now in a better place. Its tough to lose a best friend. Best wishes to you.

Sorry to hear this...Dogs are family but don't live long enough for a reason. Dogs don't live long enough because when you are going to Heaven ALL your
dogs will be guiding you up the steps to your loved ones waiting for you. God gave Dogs to Man for a reason...they are unconditionally devoted to their master
and always guide them in the right direction.
