Greeting Golfers;

We welcome and thank you for your support of the Inaugural California Fire Museum Golf Tournament at the Yorba Linda County Club. I would like to give you a brief scheduled of the day’s events and contests. A full list of contest rules will be provided on the day of the event

0730 Registration Opens

0730 to 0845 5 Hole Putting Contest

· Contest Procedure and Rules: Record your score for each hole, all holes must be putted out, no gimmies.

· A putt outside of the string is a penalty stroke.

· Place your ball where it crossed outside and proceed thru the hole.

· Record each hole and turn the score sheet to the attendant Marc Hawkins.

0900 Shot Gun Start - Scrabble Format

· All golfers must have 4 drives!

· All play is thru the green.

· When your team exceeds 7 strokes pick-up, record 7 and move to the next tee.

· Score cards MUST be turned into the pro-shop desk for calculation.

· A card not turned in disqualifies the team.

· Please keep up pace of play, fix all ball marks on the green, rake all sand traps and fill all divots.

Closest to the Line Contest

On Par 3’s Closest to the Pin

Hole 13 (Par 3) Sin information.

· Only those that purchased the Paramedic Card are eligible at the Sin Hole.

· Prior to tee off you must declare to the attendant which hole you are shooting for, NOT ON THE GREEN.

· A special prize awaits for the winner of the Sin.

1330 to 1530 Poolside Social

We have cancelled the golf ball drop due to minimal participation. We will be providing refunds to those individuals that have purchased an entry for the event.

Food and Beverages:

Coffee, donuts and bagels and a non-hosted bar will be available during registration. During play there will be water, soft drinks, beer, Firehouse subs, and other light snacks available at Holes 5, Turn and 13. Please note that some of the beers are in glass bottles which will require them to be poured into a Solo cup for consumption. The County Club is also providing a beverage cart on the course. For the poolside social we will be providing a Taco Bar. I don’t think you should go away hungry!

Don’t worry about the back. Nothing a few beers and some Motrin won’t fix.
My partner last weekend was crushing up little “pain” pills before/during the round. His back and his mood were better at the end of each day. His game, not so much.

Yep..I went to the driving range yesterday. Its been 5 weeks since my knee surgery so tried to take it easy. A little sore today . Try again tomorrow.

I just golfed there this past Monday, not a real good game, greens were in great shape - the rest of the course.... ugh. I really think if your ball lands in the divot of an idiot who didn't fill it (Please overfill) you should get free relief.

I had a blast, my team didn’t do too well but we didn’t get last place at least.

For those of you who remember Phebus (Rick), he was on my team, and will be playing with me in June too.

I’ll post up and try to remember to email you the information on next years.

The tournament in June he talked about is more fun. It’s June 3/4 in Indian Wells. Friday/Saturday 07:30 start both days.
