Any refferal for someone to replace the u-joints in my spicer driveshaft in the SFV for my V-Drive?
It’s not to hard. You need a bfh, a 6 inch vice, about a 3/4 inch drift or deep impact sockets. And 2 aluminum calls. Probably has 1350s in it. Is it hard to measure them? Trunion dia and cross width.Being a u joint novice, just want to make sure the proper Spicer/Dana components are used.
Wenco or Cannon. Burbank area. Been a while don’t know if they’re still around. Any decent mech shop could do it.
Anyone but Hoopers.
… Not sure if it’s still there, but there was a place out by the Van Nuys airport…they were the best???… they built me an entirely new driveshaft after I blew it out of my Hallett V-drive… can’t remember the name of the place???…
… That was the place… You are right, great service and reasonably priced…Wenco was our go to for driveshafts for years, great service and reasonably priced. The owner retired and sold the property a few years ago. They were on Valjean and Valerio across the street from the airport and a block away from my office.
I'm going to send you a PM.Wenco or Cannon. Burbank area. Been a while don’t know if they’re still around. Any decent mech shop could do it.

Wenco is long gone, they were on Valjean on east side of Van Nuys Airport. RIP WencoWenco or Cannon. Burbank area. Been a while don’t know if they’re still around. Any decent mech shop could do it.

I miss the Wenco calendars......Wenco was our go to for driveshafts for years, great service and reasonably priced. The owner retired and sold the property a few years ago. They were on Valjean and Valerio across the street from the airport and a block away from my office.
