Two days on the road to get from Puyallup WA to Havasu City. Day one in the books; you guys really live in this heat, huh? 😳

day one: made an initial run up to Topock with a stop at the sand bar, dinner at 66.

If you’re in for a real adventure fill up the fuel tanks and follow the havasu jet boat all
The way up river to Laughlin. Hang out in Laughlin and follow it back home later. They avoid all the sand bars.

It typically takes a couple days to get used to the heat. Plan activities like shopping/ fueling up etc early morning or later in the evening

I left Havasu Sunday it was 112 in the truck temperature - it was hot loading up all the go home gear

got back to San Diego about 4-5pm unloaded the truck and then cut the grass and was sweating up a storm from the humidity

Windsor Beach State Park.
A lot of good ideas here. The area where you already went is my favorite. The gorge is cleaner, cooler water and nice sugar sand beaches. Keep in mind the crowds will really grow starting Friday, which you may or may not like, it shouldn't be too crazy as people may be waiting for the 4th. We also do the Springs once in a while as well as Steamboat or 3 dunes, but mostly stay up North. We do Havasu Landing once in a while but always take the Ferry, don't like gambling in beach wear.😅 Hope you have a great time and your motorhome air works well.

What about boating in gambling wear? :)

Met AZMike this AM walking into the Shell station convenience store. RDP sticker tipped us off. 👍
Breakfast at Makai’s was awesome. Thanks for the tip. Made our way to Pirates cove where the boat died and stranded us for a couple of hours on the beach with nothing to do but drink beers and make friends. good thing we enjoy drinking beers and making friends! 😂. Gary and Becky in the pontoon were great people!
Then spent another stellar couple of hours at the sandbar. met a few people there as well. Scott with the badass California Performance big block jet was a great dude. Headed to BJ’s for dinner.
thanks for another great day, Havasu!

BJ’s for dinner? I hope you meant drinks😁. Try Flying X. Bands nightly and decent bar food. Glad you are having fun, minus the heat🥵

Passed on BJ’s; Ended up at Flying X. But they werent serving food that late, so we caught some of the band, then just grabbed some In-N-Out.
we’re planning on being at Flying X again tonight though. Seems like our kinda place.

You made a good choice. There is also a dive bar just past the hardware store. Called the Pour House. (In back). Decent food and cheap drinks if you want to pregame before the X.

You really do need to do a day trip to Parker as well. It's well worth the drive. Grab a drink at Foxes or Roadrunner! Take your boat and run the parker strip! Go up to the dam and float down. It's really great at dusk as the sun goes down! Float from the dam down to Foxes and then tie up and enjoy. You really do need to do a designated driver though because it's too easy to over indulge ;)

We plan on Saturday being anParker day. Still gotta figure out how to get the boat over there. U-Haul I suppose.
Our best friends are arriving today (Friday) around noon. We’ll likely do an early dinner at either Topock or Pirates Cove today.
This lifestyle could grow on us….
If you see the red & white Barefooter, don’t be afraid to come say hi and have a beer.

IMO I like the Havasu Springs (inner bar) for dinner. South end of lake past the dam. Fish Friday‘s and have an early bird menu. For Parker it is fun without a boat to sit at one of the bars. Sundance, Fox’s, and Road Runner are all on the water.

Made it home. Thanks for the fun, Havasu!
Made it over to Parker last Saturday. Spent most of the day at the sandbar. Did dinner and drinks at Roadrunner, and ran up & down the strip. Fun day, but that small piece of water can obviously be a handful to navigate On busy days.
Also did a day at Steamboat Cove, and made the down run to a Havasu Springs for dinner. In the end, we really found river north of Havasu up through Topock to be our favorite spot. The Sandbar up there is a great spot, and we found the topography and scenery to be mesmerizing.

Few more pics….
