I’m just wondering if it’s worth it? Has anyone had it long enough and use it enough to know the pros and cons? Seems like a total game changer driving to and from the river.

I like it, it only works on the 40 and not rice road though. It's limited to 85mph, which is also fine. It took some getting used to but you can always take control back so it's not like you're stuck if you happen to get uncomfortable. Pro - I get way less fatigued after a long drive. Con - it's a little to conservative with the adaptive cruise/speed once someone changes lanes and get in front of you. I've adjusted the distance settings but it still seems to stay far behind.

Just got it a few weeks ago on my 24 Yukon Denali Ultimate. Yes. Love it. Changes lanes if you have it set that way. Super nice on the big highways.
Holds the line good . A little wanky when you pass an off ramp and the right lane disappears. It will hunt back for the line and waver alittle. It also watchs your eyes to make sure your looking forward. I was texting and was looking down too long and it caught me. I would do it again.

Have it on my X7 and it’s awesome. I’m sure they are all about the same. I will always get it on a new vehicle.

Wife hates it, but she’s type A.

I would never trust it, number one, and number two, doesn’t it require certain approved highways/freeways/interstates to even use it?

It’s cool and futuristic, but leave the driving to me.

And hell no on using it while towing.
Sales guy said It won’t do 2 lane roads, also the highways are being updated constantly. I think it’ll be an awesome alternative when you just feel like chilling on the way!

How can it tell what you’re looking at when you’re wearing sunglasses?

Yes it is worth it. Very convenient on those long road trips, and of course you still have to pay attention. We have the BMW version, but it is the same as Super Cruise, with the eye scanner to make sure your eyes are on the road.

EDIT On your sunglasses question, don’t know HOW it scans, but it does, even with dark sunglasses. Only issue is when the sun is low on the horizon, it kicks you out frequently, but not a big deal.

Question for those who've used it, can it tell if someone is coming up fast from behind in the fast lane before it changes lanes from the right lane to go around someone?
Like if someone is way back but coming up at 100mph its pretty easy for a human to see that and know not to change lanes until he flies by.
But would the computer just see how far back he is and change lanes causing the speeder to slow down?

… today is the day after Valentine’s Day… Sees candy made a fortune on their chocolates… Chocolate is sugar, sugar turns into alcohol in your blood… So basically, there’s a bunch of drunk drivers out on the road🤷🏽‍♀️

I disagree with all this ADAS bullshit simply because it makes the driver lazy. If you're driving, drive....and try not to get distracted.

Just be ready to pay OnStar for the rest of the time you own the vehicle.

My wife has it on her '23 Denali. Its great for road trips. After a few hours ride its amazing how much less "tired" you are. I have even pulled a trailer while using it.

You still have to watch the road, the system watches your eyes and if you take them off the road for more than 3-4 seconds it starts to alert you. Is it perfect? No, neither am I, you, or anyone else on the road. Pay attention and its much more relaxing on a long drive versus driving yourself.

I haven't been in that scenario with a car closing in that fast. It has held off on switching lanes if there is a car in that lane too close. And it seems to be a fairly large gap.

I have it on two cars. Pretty neat technology that works well and seems to be getting better with time too. I dont know if the system updates with more people driving with super cruise or that i have a newer model super cruise.

It was changing lanes and passing people on the way from Houston to Dallas. If you see someone coming up behind you just put the blinker to the direction you want to go and the car will change lanes for you.

wifes Q7 has a lite version of this. game changer on long trips. especially the adaptive cruise. you can adjust the gap b/w cars. on the tightest gapping its actually pretty close to car ahead. she does not like using it though

my '18 Ford Raptor has it, we've used it traveling to Havasu. I think it's like riding with a 16 yo driving. Lacks the experience to be predictive and proactive, is strictly reactive and I find that frustrating. It also on rare occasions is prone to what's referred to as "Unintended" deceleration.
It's happened to us three times, each time while doing 75-80 on the freeway while passing a semi with a more non-conventional looking trailer.
Nobody in front of us, thankfully nobody close behind, something about the trailer spooks the truck reacts by trying to stand on it's nose and put you into the dash.

If anybody was close behind they'd be righteously pissed thinking you were brake checking them, that's assuming you didn't get ass-ended.
Ford has a TSB on it for certain trim levels and years, but doesn't include my Raptor and it's not something they can duplicate because it's so random.

Given that, I'm not ready to trust any Ford "Blue Cruise" system.

My 18 Raptor did the same. Seemed most often when passing a semi on a sweeping right where it could not see past the semi. But other times too.
I stopped using it except on open desert roads where it seemed ok. 6 months now with my 23 Raptor R and it has not done it yet. But it was so random that who knows.
Probably a good thing the Raptor does not have the Ford Blue Cruise. I hope GM has it better figured out. If adaptive cruise has issues, no way in hell I'd use auto drive.

BTW, I also heard Newmar motorhome adaptive cruise would occasionally trigger on overpasses and slam on its brakes so I did not get that option.
The tech might not be ready for prime time.

IMO dangerous as fuck people get to comfortable and it hits the brakes to soon and hard . I've seen it almost cause accidents I drive on freeways five days a week .
If you're on a long drive and get tired pull over and walk around your vehicle a few times.
Again just my opinion and if works for you more power to you.

How do you like the "R" ?
Obviously for some things I'm sure it's amazing, but I'm talking daily driver, running errands, going to the market kinda shit, which is in reality how I more use my truck.
I'm not getting any younger and even my wife's nugging me gently to listen to the young me singing that Siren's call, and not the ole grumpy "Mr Practical" and opting for the Powerboost in a Platinum or Lariat. If they'd actually quit dicking around and push a Raptor out the door with the Powerboost as they're teasing, I'd buy it tomorrow.

I love the R. There is no situation where I don't like it. We don't have kids and we can't take it with us so what the hell.
We have a house in Baja and use it mostly for road trips in US and Baja. But it's happy as a daily driver or grocery getter too.
I run lots of easy dirt in it but have a Jeep for rocks and a UTV for race course stuff so we don't really beat on the R much.
