I’ll probably have to go order one.
You are probably already aware of this, but if you’re wanting a ZL1, or SS 1LE, I would order soon, constraints have really limited availability of those models. ZL1 1LE (and 2SS 1LE) might be impossible to actually get at this point besides what can be found on a lot. 2024 models will be even harder to get.

IIRC, the changeover for ordering from MY 23 to MY 24 is in June. Be sure to order from a dealer that actually has an allocation, if you want a 1LE or ZL1- most dealers will order them but not many actually have enough allocation to fulfill their orders on the performance variants.

Yes indeed. There seems to be a reasonable amount of 1LEs on lots today. Still thinking 1SS 1LE in white, grey, silver, orange or blue with copper free brakes. just unsure on the trans.

After taxes and figuring out what I’m gonna do with my commuter car I’ll come to some sort of decision.

I’ve got a neighbor on the street in front and street behind me with 1LEs lol.

We rented a convertible Camaro recently in Hawaii. While she looked bad a$$, I hated the inside.

I wonder what GM is going to pull out of their ass as a replacement for NASCAR. At some point when the hot rods are all gone or electrified all the makes are going to need to do something to qualify a model for use.

Or at that point NASCAR goes electric too and folds completely in a year after.

The ride is terrible. The visibility is even worse. I’m not surprised.

Hahaha!! You guys are cracking me up! Like you would buy this car expecting it to ride like an '85 Oldsmobile! It's a muscle car. It's supposed to have a harsh ride. It's supposed to get shitty gas mileage. It's supposed to be raucous!

That car was designed to perform. The upgraded versions are essentially detuned track cars. That's how a Camaro SHOULD be! 💪

My ZL1 rides great, visibility is poor -yes. I don't care. It pulls hard all the way thru 5th. I bought the stick.

The Camaro still looks the same as it did when it was brought back out after its hiatus. It needs a total makeover.

The Camaro needs an update….so does the challenger and Charger. Fresh look and feel.

The problem is now they are selling less sedans…. So they are focusing resources elsewhere.

But someone has to make an affordable performance sedan because I imagine there is a still a market for them. Maybe not as large as in the past but still there.

I feel the electric car thing is being forced on us by the government. The talking heads and wokesters at the auto manufacturers are pushing them too in response to government pressure. But they still have to sell them and I don’t see a huge demand for an all electrical play….. so unless the government mandates electric then they are not going to sell. What are they gonna do with the all electric play when they are not sold?

I refuse to buy one and I am sure many of you feel the same…

Auto companies are still a business and will respond accordingly…..They talk a good game but still need to somewhat respond to consumer demand which is NOT an all electric play, which are too expensive, not “zero emission”, still cost $$ to fuel, create more problems and don’t solve a damn thing…

I find it funny that even in the liberal Bay Area when you walk into a dealership all you see is a huge unsold inventory of electrics and nothing else….. even in times of shortages the consumer doesnt want the electric, they would rather wait six months for their ordered gas car to arrive..…. Lol

Caveat: when gas hits $10 a gallon I will change my tune for you guys…. Not me. Lol

Not nearly as embarrassing as the mid 70's Mustangs.

A high school buddy of mine convinced his dad to let him trade in his 1969 440 Roadrunner for a 1974 Mustang II Mach 1. He owed just two payments on the Plymouth.

That Mustang was a plastic piece of shit, with a V-6 that had the most annoying whine of any engine built since Engineer Nicolaus August Otto invented the first gasoline engine in 1861.

Current generation. It is time to update. IMO the mustang lines kill it then the challenger then the camaro. It needs better lines. Isn't GM investing a bunch of $$ to keep building gas engines? It is not a good looking car, again IMO. Better design with a throwback to 1969 and a killer engine and trans option....just my .02

I think the opposite… Mustang looks like a catfish until the facelift next year.

Challenger looks good but is an 9/8 scale vehicle and is heavy.

I like the looks of the Gen 6 Camaro aside from 2019.

The interior is weird/retro and visibility isn’t the best.

A basic 1LE SS Camaro performed about equal to the GT350 that cost another $10-15k.

The 6th Gen Camaro is smaller and lighter than the 5th Gen.. as the Mustangs and Challengers got bigger and heavier.

The Mustang is a better car, the Camaro is a better performance car. The chassis on the Challenger/Charger is approaching 30 years old..

Makes all that classic Iron worth more $$ who wants a Camaro or a Mustang that just makes a "buuuuzzzzz" not a "rumpety rump"

That chassis started life as a 90's Mercedes E-class sedan....
Just slap a yellow pool noodle on the chin spoiler and call it good for another 10 years

Not to mention that particular POS mustang was based on the Pinto platform, came with a 4 banger, or a V6 like you mentioned and a 302 the produced a whopping 122 HP.

Camaro should've done the update every 3 years with a full redesign every 9 or 10. Outside of the Vette, GM will fuk up a wet dream.

BTW, I looked at a Camaro in 2017 and I couldn't even come close to fitting in it much less being any sort of comfortable. Same with the Vette. I guess American's must be getting smaller?

Have to stick to the Beemers where I can get in and be comfy.😎

Well I do hear they are coming out with the E-StingRay for the Vette.

So buckle up and get ready to say goodbye to the cars we’ve all grown up with, and the new version of the shitmobiles because gas is bad.
