Shreveport for sure.

The boat is a 1965 Ron Jones KT.

The restoration is complete but the weather has kept me from running it. I will do an article after the water trials.

Thanks guys.

It is an amazing boat with an amazing history. It was built for Bob Nordscog. He sold it to a good friend, Bill Scallon who lived in Deluth, Min..

This photo is from a race in Hawaii where Bill in the KT (top) finished second to Bob in his new ET boat. The KT is 19'2" while the ET boat is 21'10".

Bill decided to retire in '72. His dream was to convert the boat to a twin seat lake boat. He bought the two F16 canopys and stripped the boat. At that point his health went away and the boat was stored in a warehouse in Deluth until I found it last spring. Actually a friend of the family talked them out of it planning to do the restoration. He found out how much time and money it takes to complete a project like this and decided to sell. I have two other Jones boats so my buddies are always alerting me if they seen any for sale. I saw the pics of this boat and had to have it.

A few phone conversations and a 2,000 mile road trip brought the boat to my shop.

The wood was in amazing condition for a new boat let alone on that is 45 years old.

I hope it runs out as good as it looks.
