We stayed at the Glamis North Hot Springs Camp ground last March on the way home from Glamis to check it out, dump tanks and prepare for the next leg of our trip.
The camp ground and pool deal was cool for the wife and kids. Trails were rough. Lots of sxs studder bumps/wash boards.
Had to get out a good 10-20 miles before things smoothed out.
It was so rough I didn't even unload the wife's and kids quads.
According to the owner it was extra rough do to the lack of rain at the time.

I have been going their since they opened up years ago and was a KOA. The owner is cool and has invested Millions into it and keeps it up. Its a fun change of pace.

Glamis North Hot Springs campground is nice.
Pretty much like any other well kept campground.
The best part is knocking off the trail dust in one of the hot springs fed pools or tubs.
The riding is OK.

if you’ve got small kids they’ll get board with the kiddie track real fast and they bulldozed the other little track that wasn’t really a track but people made trails close to camp. Guess they didn’t like that. Like mentioned you’ve go to go pretty far to get to some smoother trails. We still like it and go at least once a year.

We go once a year for a buddys birthday bash. I don’t bring anything to ride anymore and just hang in the hot springs. Riding isn’t that great IMO.

I agree with this. I'd rather keep going to Glamis if I was that far out.

We’ve been once. Cabins and the campground were pretty cool. Fun place to hang out. Seemed like every ride we went on was through a restricted area or private property. Slab city was cool to see once. Getting stuck in salt covered sand/silt wasn’t the most fun I’ve ever had.
Agree with Hammer. I’d continue to Glamis or Ocotillo.

You can but it’s pretty far don’t plan on riding the dunes just go look and head back unless you have a way to refuel. If you were to take roads it’s a little over 60 miles for the hot springs to glamis beach store. Not sure the actual distance taking the off highway route.

Went about 4 years ago was a cool place to camp the pools were cool but then the SxS bumps were starting to form pretty good and trails were just torn up cant imagine it now.

Agree with all, younger riders have no fun. The last time we went, we were able to take coolers into the pool area... I've heard that changed. Also, don't get an RV spot next to the "resident" trailers/cabins, last trip we had turn the RV around. Our door was facing the patio of Salton Sea's finest sitting shirtless scratching his balls all day staring into my RV at my wife and kids. We haven't been back.

I had friends that stayed there once. I didn't go because I'm abnoxious and seem to piss off campground folk. 🤷‍♂️

We have been to Duners diner from Glamis North... stopped by the border and then back to the Hot spring pools.
That ride is pretty uneventful and alot of high speeds to cover the distance.
But it was fun to have some destinations. really got to stretch the legs on the buggy!

we also rode to Chriiaco summit from Galmis north...that was fun ride and again , another destination.

I agree with others, its fun to change it up but the riding isnt really all that great for families with bikes and quads.

I plan to go again in Feb sometime for the once a year visit.
