Sorry for your loss…2 of the saddest days of mine and Deborahs’ lives were losing these 2. It’s amazing how much of an impact our best dogs ever have on us. I am still not over losing my boy and it has been years.

We still have 2 rescues at home and love them but it isn’t the same.

Lost my best friend today. It all happened so fast. Within a week everything turned upside down. Only six years old. Doctor said it was cancer and there was nothing we could do. She was surrounded by me, my wife and kids as she went to heaven.

MIL lost her dog of 17 years on Sat and she lost her shit. Literally inconsolable. Not eating, not working, etc. I don’t blame her. Dogs are special beings, nothing else out there imprints on you like a good dog.

Sorry for your loss, it is indeed one of the hardest things to do. Grew up always having dogs and cried for every one we put down. Put our little girl Dachshund down a little over a year ago and told my wife, no more dogs! Well, that lasted about 3 month's and now we have another sweet little girl Dachsy. She will never replace her predecessor, but she has her own personality and is part of the family; I love her just as much. Time will heal eventually and you'll always have the great memories.

Thanks Rich. We did a test and she was mostly Malinois. We got her from a Labrador rescue in San Diego. They picked up her mom and four pups from Tijuana and brought them over to the states for adoption.
