Gilomen Clutch

My ECU and clutch will be delivered on Monday. Once I get it back together I will post about it. I can say their customer service and turn around time is fantastic. Complete communication from the day I placed my order to confirmation when they received my ECU. They received it on Tuesday and it shipped on Wednesday.

Got the clutches and ECU in last night. Car fired right up and took a minute or so to display the correct fuel level. Other than that everything seemed fine. Took a cruise around the neighborhood to break in the belt and car drove good. Only got into the pedal a little bit but the power seems to come on really smooth. Th clutch in this car has always been noisy and now its real quiet. At this point if the thing stays out of limp mode over Thanksgiving I will be happy. And if the primary stays together longer than a couple hundred miles. The EPI washers on either side of the rollers in the primary were melted and starting to come out. Fingers crossed it works correctly in a few weeks.

Did the whole Gilomen clutch. What a difference. I had them set it up for my 32” tires and the weight of my car. It’s drivable now, it’s got a lot of low end and carries it all the way through the rpm’s. I got the tune too, but haven’t installed it yet. My car already had a tune and the clutch really livened it up. I might return the tune, unless I can figure out how to save the tune I already have in case it’s better then the new one.

First trip out with the clutch and tune. Car ran and performed great. I really noticed a difference from 30 mph and up. The car seemed to accelerate much faster than before and the power seems to come in much smoother than stock. The pedal is much more responsive than before. Overall a better driving experience. And best of all no limp mode or misfire codes!
