What people who share this don't understand, is that the Minnow was scheduled to go out on a three hour tour. Not that the entire voyage, from port through shipwreck, lasted three hours. The storm could have lasted for many hours or even days, before they washed up on the island.

My conundrum is with the Howells bringing all that luggage on a short tour, including tuxedos for Thurston, formal wear for Lovey, plus all the other stuff. And the Professor can make a radio out of coconuts, but couldn't fix the fucking boat? C'mon Man!
