Greatest generation...prove me wrong ;)

You weren't old enough to drive when American Graffiti came out.

But if that wasn't proof enough for ya...

I'm X, both my kids are Z and my wife is a Millennial just barely but she definitely acts more like a X.

I think the last couple years of a generation and the first couple years of the new generation can be mixed. Kids born late in gen X to young parents would be more like Millennials and kids born early in the Millennial generation to older parents (my wife) are more like gen X. My wife parents were born in '43 and '45.

I thought all Xers, (With the exception of my own children I'm sure 🙄) just blame all their ills on their Boomer parents ?? 🤔😁
I asked the kids from time to time if I'm ruining their lives. They hesitate,,,,,, and say,,,,, "sometimes"
It's a petty difference of opinion over some things.

Like swing dancing on stage wearing a skirt just above their knees. Sure that's fine with shorts underneath, but they sneak bikini bottoms instead? Nahh. "But it's a bathing suit and that's ok to wear!"
-Nope.

Age of reason starts about 6 and never ends.

Helps me to relax

If there is one song that stands out growing up it's this one, my Dad's favorite song. Reconnected with my Step Sister after 40 years in South Carolina a few years back and we played it over a 3 day weekend, instantly took us back to the farm in Indiana. 👍

Us Gen Xers are the last ones who grew up with air raid siren practice at school. Like kneeling under our desks with our hands over our heads is gonna protect us from a Soviet nuke? LOL

I didn't do that as I was born in '76 but I do remember them going off in the middle of the night once by accident for about 10sec in the early 80's, loud as fuck and I was about a mile away, I couldn't imagine being right next to it.

I had no idea they were still doing that in the 70's, certainly not the 80's were they ? I figured by then it was full knowledge that there'd be so many nukes flying just enjoy the show and prepare to meet yer maker.

I can't recall doing that even in high school in the mid 60's 🤔 I'll have to ask my GenX spawn. 😁

I like to think most boys (and some of the girls) exposed to woke silliness in schools today will grow up especially cynical and distrustful of authority.
