I remember seeing Tornados advertised on the hood of NASCAR vehicles. Tried them on the strength of that. Hell why not, I buy Tide detergent because of M Waltrip.
Tornados used to be pretty good but somethings changed. No good anymore.
Used to find them on the roller grill at the Red Earth Fuel stop in route to Glamis.
The Morongo Casino Fuel station has Dodger Dogs and they are just as bad as at the Stadium. Maybe worse.
At the stadium try their Calif Dog instead. Now that's a Hot Dog.
I remember Sports Talk radio Superfan Ed Beiler urging his listeners to write to Dodger Stadium in protest of how bad the Dodger Dogs are and to boycott buying them. Dumbfuck Beiler didn't realize his main sponsor was Clougherty Packing co., the makers of Farmer John Hot Dogs; the Dodger Dog. He was fired on the air.
Flying J used to have Jack Links Turkey sticks.
No longer for some reason. Man they were good washed down with a Monster Energy Grapefruit or a Dr Pepper.
I used to stock up there. Picked up a dozen at a time. Now have to get them online.
Flying J in Lenwood talks up their Dennys.
One star rated. Pretty sad place. Pathetic.
We hit the Tommy's across the street instead.
Famous peoples tour buses in route to and from Vegas stop at the Flying J and not unusual for the band or celibs to head over to Tommy's too. Wife can name off a list of who we've encountered there.
Flying J also has Egg Salad sandwiches in the cold case at the register. They look really good. Wife tried them twice and now claims "she got bit by the same dog twice." Horrible. A soup sandwich.
She doesn't eat that kinda food anyway. Damfino. I don't know anything about chix.
Worst Taco Bell in the chain is at the Glamis I10 Dillion Rd exit Shell Station.
Expensive and looks like someone sat on your food. Bad attitude too.
The Dairy Queen there is just as bad. No,,, it's worse. At one time DQ had a decent burger.
Even the 4 burgers for 5 bucks at Arco AM PM are better.
The 711 gas station 2 hot dogs and a big gulp for $2.79 sometimes works. Ya wonder how many miles the hot dog traveled on that roller grill over the past 14 hours?
Any tips, tales or takes?
