Purchsed these a little over 15 years ago from Lowes. Right off the shelf, they have worked great. I thought for about 3 seconds... maybe 4 about cleaning it up a bit but fuck it... This is typical for my set up when in the middle of a project. Judging by the pictures in this thread some of you have serious OCD issues😂 but some bitchin setups to go with it. Finally, a real garage. 😁

Yep, I’m replacing those exact floor cabs and a different configuration upper of same style (also bought at Lowes in 2006). Gave all of it to a neighbor who has no cabinets. Served me well for 15 some years. My wife about threatened to disown me if I didn’t buy a nice set of garage cabinets. She knew the lack of storage in garage was pissing me off. I rarely replace items unless it’s broken or turned to dust from age.

That doesn't look like the set that the bottom rolls out on🤔

You can put casters or feet. I don’t plan on putting those under the desk anyways but rather on the left side of the large vertical.

I didn’t see any 25% off? 😳

May vary by zip code but online they are 25% off for the 20 & 24 gauge welded steel cabinets. 25% of on stainless counters also. Saved over a grand on my order.

So I ended up going with the husky matte black cabinets. Similar setup to this but without the extra vertical cabinet on the right.

It was 1400.00 bucks all said and done which is pretty cost effective for what you get. I checked out the cabinets in person and they seemed to be pretty nice.

Did you order online or did they have it in store?

Split it in the center.

You can do the same thing with out the “frame” Stevo used, just fab up leveling feet instead of wheels

These Husky's are a really good base for that type of workbench. They have integrated power strips on one side, and are 24.5 inches deep. 46" wide.

This is my next project, I really like that countertop and storage bins, top notch.

Hard to see but honestly, my MDF cabinets painted with gloss black enamel are still looking good after 17 years,,

Aren't you back to square one? Where do you sit??
When I go to a shop that has a place to sit, no one is working, so I don’t see why a productive shop would need seating.

If the equipment come with a seat, you don’t need one.

Yes Sir! 74. Little project that has been off and of for the last 13 years or so... Drove it, beat the hell out of it, then finally parked it with the intention of just doing some minor floor repairs. You know the rest.😂
Yep I kick myself in the ass for selling my 72 every time I think about it . Sold it 22yrs ago . My father bought it new in 72 and I was driving it for 18yrs before I tore it down to the frame . I had the frame powdercoated after putting the James Duff super hoops on and dual shocking the rear . 4 core radiator . Had the 302 w/ HiPo 289 heads with a Torker manifold and 650 Holley . Then I bought my 99' F250 SD w/7.3 diesel 4 X 4 . At the time they were not worth what they are today .

Looks clean and modern. I did the same in silver of course. Your post reminded me of the modular hook system I need to add in Havasu for all the odd or over sized yard tools. Thanks

If you go with wood cabinets make sure to order solid backs and full face frames. Also upgrade the adjustable shelves to at least 1". They my not be exactly what you want now but you won't feel bad about leaving them in a rental.

Yeah, they look good and functional. I am so bummed about the way these showed up! As I mentioned I returned the first set due to damage. Then re-ordered and 5 out 6 of them are banged up. I don’t even know what to do next. Still waiting to hear back from a manager with some options.

I’ve got the New Age bold 14 piece set. They are nice but it took 3 months to get them.

For the wife I got an assortment of Gladiator cabinets from Lowes.
They were readily available, reasonable on price and pretty darn nice.

I just went through this over the holiday. When I started looking for garage cabinets I was shocked at how expensive they were.

I went to HD and bought these work boxes for $249 each and created my own bench to meet my needs. What I like about these boxes are the depth. They are 24.5" deep, most boxes were 18" to 22 " deep. They had many colors to choose from, black, red, blue, white or grey.

I your case you could buy two and space them apart and create a desk work area. Just make or buy a top and you will be good to go.

Good luck with your project.
What did you use for the adjustable legs/feet /base?

looks great nice and clean

I called the number on the sticker the provided and was sent new doors for the 3 that were damaged. I just threw away one last week that was in way better condition then that. Took a few weeks to get as they were back ordered.

Placed 2 orders first came with no damage second had 2 wall cabinets that had dents. The Stainless Counter looks like they hit every corner on purpose.

Yes, Home Depot. First set, I ordered online and had shipped to store in Havasu. Picked em up, got em to the house and opened them up, found they were damaged and loaded them back on trailer to return them.

After a brief cooling period (a day or two), I tried to have some faith and trust that it wouldn't happen again so I reordered. Again, ordered online, had shipped to havasu home depot, they offered to deliver them.

Truck showed up the other day with half of my order, I almost didn't accept them (all or nothing mindset, wtf!) after taking delivery, 2 of those 3 were damaged. They delivered the other 3 a couple days later and all 3 are damaged. So 5 out of 6 banged up beyond satisfaction.

status now unknown, waiting to hear back on options. IDK?

Its possible that they are getting damaged from forklift(s) moving them around, however I think ultimately its on the manufacture to package these things better. There isn't any damage to the sides or backs of them, only the front. Tells me that fork lifts are loading them with backs facing out, leaning doors back on lift. And manufacture maybe should use something to protect them, add foam to cover doors. There is even a "tilt sensor" on all 4 sides, if it turns red it says customer should not accept (pretty cool actually). They also come on pallets with foam in bottom to better protect the corners. Mmmmmm.

question for those with the Newage tool boxes. is the 18" depth an issue? My current boxes are 24" I do really like the way the Newage system looks

I don't have those, but have 18" depth on my current boxes. My biggest complaint is longer ratchets and such need to lay across the wider drawers. That said, a lot of people don't have or need 24" or longer ratchets and bars. Advantage to the lesser depth, less items to "lose" at the very back, because you'll tend to pull the drawers out more completely.

I’m trying to downsize my tools to a set more appropriate for a retired guy that just works on engines for a hobby. Heck I just gave away my 600 ft LB torque wrench and a 18 and 24” micrometer. Still have a shit ton of tools that I have no use for anymore.

Over the past few years I've acquired some bigger stuff, as my "hobby" has become more of a job. The problems I have run into are because I work on so much weird stuff from such a broad time frame. So, I'm not getting rid of any tools for a long time. The way I see it, I'm preparing for full-scale "Bidenzueala", or "Cuban Creativity".

Large sockets I think I have up to 36mm, and some scattered larger... Wrenches though, pretty slim on stuff past 1 1/4", had to get creative at times. Been thinking of getting a chinesium set, as I don't do a bunch requiring them. As I said though, worried the repair game may become less for fun, and more necessity :(

I may have a few things that you might find useful. Let me sort through some stuff and I’ll let you know what I’ve go. If you can use it , you’ll welcome to it.
Pretty sure I’ve still got socket’s up to and perhaps larger than 3”. Likely have combos up to about 2”.
