so the wife and i are closing on a home in havasu in a week and i need to furnish this thing.

it ain't no rivera build, actually prob the smallest home in havasu that had a 30' garage, but it does need furniture.

what is the smart play locally or shipped in from pHX or Vegas? it will only be used maybe 100 days out of the year, so i'm balling on a budget.

what say ye inmates?

I furnished my condo from American Furniture in Phoenix, they deliver 1-2 times a month to Havasu. They set everything up, turnkey and I didn't lift a finger. Make sure what you buy is in stock, ordering furniture is sketchy at best. Ordering from any furniture store is risky IMO.

I made a trip to Phoenix and got my whole house done between American Furniture and Living Spaces. Both delivered and set up and I didn’t have to do a thing. Both were awesome to deal with!

Oh Nick I forgot about this one! I bought my daughter’s dresser from there and it was great quality and very reasonable! White Glove Service

Havasu Drop Box Furniture and Mattress has pretty good prices on medium quality furniture, just a few doors North of Car Toys.

Micheal Allen, Havasu, treated us real well, nice people.
Lol, he said he was balling on a budget
We furnished our vacation home with Ashley. They discount if you ask. Anything wrong they discounted right away
Found out Michael Allen was buying from Ashley and just doubling the price.
Saw that for a fact

Same situation as well. Would like to furnish a house under 3k? Is that even possible?

Ashley's for furniture, Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Amazon for the other stuff like pots, pans, sheets, pillows, towels, etc... Also check out Ross/Marshalls/TJX for home goods, they have some good stuff cheap but it's hit/miss. Thrift stores too.

I got all disposable entry-level stuff since I had to furnish and stock an entire 3+2 house up front. Some things will last a while, and some things will dies after one use, but at least you will shell out lower cash up front and then you can replace the cheap stuff that craps out early with better stuff down the line...

Most of our house is from Ashley. Not sure where you live, but start at the Salvation Army, and thrift stores. We just finished filling the kitchen at a vacation house that way.

Wife and I picked up furniture from IKEA and mattresses from Costco. Loaded my small trailer for the drive from California. Picked up a few odds and ends from local yard sales and stores in Havasu.

Had to assemble onsite. That was a pain but made delivery pretty simple.

Online stores like wayfair and others have some decent non baller furniture too. One of our bed frames came from there.

That’s going to be tuff. First order of business was having a place to sleep for the family after we closed. Couple beds, sleeper sofa, and a chair. Think I was in at about $3,500 after that initial shopping trip.

Dennis has some stuff always and runs some sales that are solid to get stuff from.

Hospice of havasu can have some deals...

IKEA/Costco for dishes, and such.

Michael Allen did us right on stuff in havasu but I shopped them & let their designer come in and assist. They have a lot of custom stuff they do if you have something in mind. We did an ostrich sectional, and recliner... Those aren't budget items but damn did they knock it out of the park made exactly to fit the space.

Michael Allen also supplied about half of my house in cave creek...I thought they were fair (but we weren't buying dealer trashley aka Ashley stuff...then again Ashley is at least American made in Wisco).

They also have a "outlet" off of mesquite that is worth going into....lots of stuff in there.

Avoid "the dump" and "American wholesale" in PHX....absolute garbage quality and high pressure sales.

Costco has nice furniture in the spring and we are rolling into that..

For the most part, we bought good quality stuff - for our home in the OC. Took the older stuff to Havasu.

👆🏻This. We just bought a whole lot of stuff from Ashley to furnish our new havasu home build. Their super easy to deal with and do discount.Lol (aka bump up then discount). Best part if you get in your house and decide it's not what you want or doesn't fit , Just go find something else and they will swap it out. Ask me how I know 🤣Multiple times....and on second floor.

Big Lots for mattresses. They go on sale, sign up for welcome 15% off and they will stack it. Costco for appliances. Ashleys and Living Spaces, and definitely thrift stores for accessories. Craigslist also.
