Its a little choppy but I think this will help explain the design. Leaves some suspense for the finished product :)

How much would it cost to CAP a fundeck?

And how crazy can you get with the gel coat colors while keeping that $100,000 MSRP

To cap a fundeck I believe it cost about 18

And if you are talking about the current $99,995 deal than you get standard colors, however we are giving out free upgrades to the the nicer five color package and have one left. If you're interested you should stop by the BBQ this weekend in Mira Loma.

CalEliminator thanks again, I think this will all make much more sense to me when the boat is going together and I can understand what parts go where and how they do it.
If it is something you can say, I am sure there are others besides me who would be interested in knowing how many man hours (ballpark) go into building a hull, from prepping the mold to the last time you pull the tape off after finishing bonding up the top and bottom of the boat and buff it out. no rigging, just hull construction.
It has got to be a ton of hours....I honestly don't think the average person..even average boater has any clue what goes into the actual construction of a boat hull.

Been absent a couple of days so here's a few updates on our favorite boat with a welcome surprise at the end :)

I tried to get in close enough here so you can make out the detail of this process.

And here is what the bottom design looks like out of the mold.

Looks to me, that those mesicans everyone bitches about all the time are pretty talented individuals. Maybe laid off gardeners? :D
That guy you see in the second pic down has been there over 25 years. He is a guy that showes up to work early every day and always is in a good mood, and a spring in his step.
One day I see him in the glass shop singing and doing one of the nastiest jobs in the shop and I asked him,"your always in a good mood, what do you eat for breakfast?" He speeks very little english but shot back real quick with "mucho panocha:D" I about fell over laughing.

is real for this with a 502, stock merc set up? I dont care about going 70 mph with the family and dogs. But a real top end MPH will give me a idea how slow it gets there

Its is indeed, are you interested? I don't if you've heard about the Fundeck sale?

We have and I'm hopping to get some pictures up of it very soon.

Just tell Bob I want one the same color as his 36 speedster. My credit is good.

Ok, now it is starting to make sense to me. Those upside-down deck shots were making my brain hurt.

It seems like these deck boats have a whole lot more going on in the deck side than your regular old open bow V hull.

What holds the whole thing together (deck to the hull)?
