Could something like a 2022 version of the old Tahiti's be a potential seller in these times? Granted, they'd need the right water conditions. Unfortunately, these extreme fuel prices are not likely going away soon. Our first boat was a used 18' Tahiti, made by Schuster Boats in Bellflower CA. Had a 120 hp, 4 cyl 2.5L GM Mercruiser, alpha 1 I/O, 12 gal fuel tank in the bow. Some of us know how capable those boats were. We could ski, tube and cruise on those 12 gals. We did extended stays on Mohave and Mead (on the right days at the right places).
Trying to imagine what an entry level family boat would be at today's crazy fuel prices? There are none. Might something like that work? Fossil fuels aren't going away for a while.
