Dan, saw pics of a car you should have never lived to talk about, some pics of a little 'ol jet bote parked next to an off shore beast, and pics you've posted from both Key West and other places...

Tides roll in, and tides roll out. You've been at the helm through the storms and the calm seas. It may have been a great boat, but the captain keeps the memories...

Is it better to have loved and lost or to have never loved at all?

I've had a lot of cool shit come and go over the years. Some of it I had to let go but didn't want to. Others I had fun with but was ready to move on.

Some times when I get to missing something real bad I just look back and think about the good times I had and be happy I was able to have them. Many people never get to have half the crap I've had. I consider myself pretty lucky even though I'm not a baller by any means.

Dan, I've never had a boat anywhere close to your 42X or even your Gun. You may have had to let it go but you'll always have great memories of the times you had while you had them.

You've been boating in a lot of places I've only dreamed about but I recall some fun runs we did up and down the coast of CA. Look back on those times with fondness. You'll get to have more of those times in the future.

Someday I hope to be sitting in the assisted living home and showing my caretaker photos of the places I've been, the stuff I had and the people I met. I'll be able to say, "I may be near the end now but man, did I have some times! It's been a wild ride".

I papered the crap out of my Stepdads assisted living room with pictures, he was pretty beat up from Parkinsons when he got there.
He was a rancher with a Body Shop and every toy a man could ask for, the girls at that place could not believe those pictures were the same guy, I'd like to think they had a level of respect for him he might not have gotten otherwise.

Dan, I don't know you but you seem like a pretty resilient guy.

I like that, I thought NeverBowDown was cool but I digress....neverbowtiedown might suit me better. Thank you for recognizing my response to Ford trash talk, I don't have to own shares in a company to have a passion for it, much like Backlash stated, we can be at the opposite ends of the same table and still eat. I appreciate the fact you took it upon yourself to research my roots though!! 😁🤙
