Was at a Lowrider car show a couple months ago and this 64 Impala had one of the nicest candy apple red paint jobs. Started chatting with the guy and he explained the paint job is like 30 years old but he sprays it with this stuff once a week and waxes twice a year.

I’m always down to try a new car detailer to make my life easier so I pick up a bottle. Not exactly cheap but if it works then, cool.

Finally used it on the truck last night and wow! Stuff is legit. Goes on super easy, wipes off and leaves a very nice slick just waxed feel. Also seems to hide the swirls and what not very well. Mind you, our truck is 20 years old and while Andy Hothe (who I bought it from 5 years ago) took outstanding care of it, it’s still a 20 years old old factory paint job. And unfortunately I’ve had to keep it parked outside since owning it. But the paint sure does shine up nice.

This stuff worked really well. I’d suggest grabbing some. Gonna put it on the Mercedes today after I’m done getting it washed.

Like the side exit exhaust before rear tire. Do you get any cab noise/drone, when under load?

I use Beadmaker after every wash - it really extends the wax intervals.

Thanks. I can’t take credit for ANYTHING on this truck, except I took the black fender wells off, put the newer mirrors on, headlights and the amp steps.

Andy put the rims on, performance chip, intake, exhaust, cognito front end, 5th wheel
Attachment, rear bags, stereo, Tv, alarm, wheels and bed cover.

And no, no exhaust noise inside the cab. I always say it’s the best driving and riding truck I’ve ever driven. Drives like a cadi.

I love black vehicles but keeping the finish looking good is too much work and expense.
If this is a lazy man way to over-come this,, I'm in.
Feel you on that. Have had a few black vehicles in my day and never again!

Couldn’t agree more!!!! It’s a HUGE nightmare keeping our black car clean. I take it to the car wash minimum 2 times a week (take the truck at least once a week too). I belong to the monthly unlimited “quick wash” club thing but obviously they don’t wash it as thoroughly as when I get out and let them deal with the whole thing in and out. Then I end up adding their spray wax to the finish so minus my $10 quick wash it comes to $25 wash in and out, wheels and tires and spray wax. Plus $5 tip. Twice a week. 😬 I’m just too anal and can’t stand a dirty car, boat, cart, bike etc. and right now the car sits outside until we build a new garage. So the moist beach air and wind does NOT help. Thought about wrapping it flat black because I think it would hide dust better but just don’t know.

I used this spray on the car too and it came out phenomenal.

Though it's not a spray but a wax on, wax off polish, the good old Nu Finish is amazing. I use it on my Sea Cat. It lasts for a long time below the water line when running in salt water. I've used all sort of other polishes but they all wear of quickly in the salt.

I still have some and use it on the boat from time to time! 👍

Boy. . . . detailing products sure have come a long way . . . even just between the graphene / ceramic spray waxes/ detailers and micro-fiber towels alone, holy smokes what a difference.
I sure don't miss the days of elbow grease and paste wax, trying to get rid of all the white powder mess and cutting up old t-shirts. LOL

Not to hijack this thread, but what gets dried wax off black trim?

@OC Daytona . . . what do you use those magic erasers for?
I've used them for various stuff around the house . . . and the non-skid on my Whaler . . . but I've heard others mention / warn not to use them for certain things
That's some serious dollar cars in those pics. . . . I'm curious where you'd use them (if on the cars at all).

I use them on the wheels of the cars, but I mostly use them to get the black exhaust shit off the back of the 28 Daytona.
Best thing I've tried to keep the white gelcoat and the muffler tips clean. They also remove the wax too, so you gotta reapply after almost every day on the lake, but that doesn't take long.

Been using Adam's Graphene spray and really like it.
Adams now has product in WalMart, with that new retail outlet, they were able to lower prices too, really helping their line. Try Adams Butter wax, it's the shit. I detail a lot of stuff, and I like the Butter was a lot.
