I never get the recalls done, simply because I just don’t have time. Most don’t really seem like a safety hazard to me (I guess they aren’t until they are). Apparently, I have to get this recall done before I can renew my registration.

I always get wait until the last day to pay. Lo and behold I open it up today and see this. My truck has had a weight loss operation and this recall seems to effect emissions stuff. Any one know if I have any options other than actually performing it?

I had a similar issue with my WRX, I had a low pressure fuel pump in the tank that had the recall. I had swapped it out with a higher pressure e85 pump a while back and didnt want to swap it. I called the DVM and they said no way around it since it was a recall.

I ended up having the dealer swap out the pump, but i had them save the e85 pump and it swapped it back in the following weekend.

Small price to pay for all that wonderful weather.

Do a Google search on that recall. Results are not good.

Apparently there is a post recall fix for the one they want you to do.

Tough position to be in.

Had to do that for my Jeep. There is no getting out of submitting the dealer wet signed pink cert of completion if you want California registration.

Oh and that’s a good point, if you’ve waited this long that means you’ll have to take that slip to the DMV in person, it won’t digitally go up there like a smog cert does.

I waited 2 mo this and it never showed, I had to go to the dmv to get my tags

Only option is to put back to stock for the recall or register out of state. Call the guys who did it and see if they have some options.

Not to long after I had my weight loss done, got this notice and immediately registered in AZ.

I just had the recall performed on my 2022 powerstroke. Power seems about the same, but it's hard to say as I don't drive the truck too hard and never tow. It could be my imagination but the shifts in the lower gears seem to be smoother

They did tell me I'd have to hand deliver the form to CA DMV which is super frustrating.

I had it done on my 2021 F250. They actually came to my work with a service truck and performed the recall. I haven’t noticed any change in power, DEF use, or fuel consumption.

Had to get the recall done on my wifes Honda Pilot for the back-up camera. Apparently, they classify the back-up camera as a safety item.

You can pay for your registration, but they won’t give you a sticker. If you do get pulled over for expired tags, show them your receipt and let the cop know you’re waiting on parts. I had to do that on my Chevy because my smog guy passed away and had to search for another guy that does certs for prior contestants from Greatest Loser. As soon as you can get the smog certs to the DMV (it's all done online now by the smog guy) you can get your sticker from whomever you go to for your vehicle registration.

I have 22 F350 Dually. I haven’t received anything about a recall!? What’s the story here?

For what it’s worth, mine eats DEF like a fat kid at a cake walk! 8 boxes in 7k miles.
That is an insane amount of DEF. I have the dealer fill mine when they change the oil. It's usually close to empty, but I rarely have to add any between oil changes.

I have 36k on my 2022

I had a similar recall requirement a year or so ago with my duramax. I had the dealer do the recall and went straight to the smog shop. As part of the recall repair they reset my truck's computer (disconnecting the battery will do this) so it automatically failed as there wasn't enough data logged after being reset. Luckily I was headed to the river that weekend. Drove it there and back and hit the smog shop the following Monday and it passed. So just a heads up, you may end up having to put some miles on it afterwards if you do the repair.

Got a recall notice on my Audi Q7. Thought I better get 'er done. Upon closer inspection, it concerns an incorrect weight listing on a door jam sticker. 😁
F'em, they can do it during the next service trip.

I was trying to be cryptic here. I know what needs to be done, just will have issues when I go to do it, with the current configuration.

Shot him a text...Still waiting for a response. i am going to call him later. Wouldnt mind the AZ reg, but I dont have a place there. Boat is easy to do for non-resident, not sure a vehicle will be.

My 23 F250 has gone through (3) 2.5 gals boxes in the first 4k miles, its lifted with 37's and do a bunch of around town driving lately. I remember my 17' going through a bunch in the beginning, once it hit 10k-15k miles the DEF lasted a lot longer..

I did this recall last week on my 17 F350. The dealer told me to smog the truck before they do the recall because it will not pass smog. My truck now sucks. I am now watching my fuel gauge drop dramatically. It went from 500 miles on a full tank to 385 . Same thing happened to my 13 F350, emissions recall and truck would not pass smog. My 17 is going in the trash.

I have a 17', wasn't alerted of a recall. What exactly was the recall and Ford did it? I am scheduled for driveshaft dampner on Thurs and don't want them messing around if it kills my mileage.

Saw a social media video of a dealer tech completing a training video for a new Lincoln model. The training was on GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) so it’s not looking good for any type of vehicle in the future if that was a legit training video and catches on for the US.

I've been trying to get an airbag recall done on my dodge. Everytime I schedule it, they loose the appointment. Been going on 4 appointments this year alone

Had recall done on my 18 f350. No change in fuel mileage or DEF usage.
