Has anyone come across this issue ?

I have a 2010 F150 platinum with 112,000 miles that can tow 30,000 lbs : )

When I start my truck I have no control over the climate system for a few minutes. Sometimes it will be off and I cannot turn it on and other times it is stuck on and can't turn it off. This also includes the heated seats. The manual buttons and the climate controls on the touch screen are both affected.

So strange that after a few minutes it will work.

I have owned the truck for 4 years and this issue is started about a month ago.

I did have one strange thing about 6 months ago where the car radio was on full volume and I had no control over it. I had to pull over and shut off the car two separate times to get it to reset

What's the battery voltage, after it sits all night?

What is it, right after it starts up?

What is it, after it's been running for 5min?

My first guess, would be a low voltage issue, maybe? 🤷‍♂️

Had an issue with my 2002 F150 where my alt. was only charging when you were on the throttle. If I was at a light sitting it would dip , but once under power it would charge…. Battery never went dead because it was sorta charging.

Sitting one night in a drive through it finally got so low to where nothing electronic worked… Radio, climate, blinkers, dash lights ect… still made it home Lol. Good Luck !

I'm getting normal voltage to the battery while running. I have had what you are talking about happen with a close to dead battery before.

This is odd as all the other electronics work fine when this happens except the climate control screen and buttons

You guys an electrical problem over there!

Static voltage on a Fully charged battery should be 12.7 cold.

Running? It should be a solid 14.2.

Now...

You can't diagnose an alternator with a bad battery, so you must get a known good battery in there first.

If you have a Good DVOM, check for any AC voltage at the alternator. If you have any, you probably have a bad alternator. Replace it, check and charge your old battery, and start all over from the beginning.

Keep us posted!
