I’ve said it all along.
There may be reasons for this or that commuter to own an EV. Or maybe just for the fun of having a performance EV.
Hey I rode in an S with Napanut and it was great!
But there is NOTHING environmentally sound or earth saving about electric cars.
It’s a continuation of our failed energy direction that we chose over 100 years ago, just a slightly different way of converting petroleum to motion.

Sums it up.

LOL But the libs say it’s all about co2 and we only have 10 years or we are doomed.

Everyone should take the time to watch this video from a prominent climatologist…risking his career.

We were supposed to die from acid rain several decades ago. The only thing that happened was more taxes.

1 per month = 12 payments

Bi weekly = 26 payments

26/2 = 13 months…
Yeah, but #'s and stuff.
I stopped trying to explain the concept years back. Was tired of hearing about how much money they got back at tax time. Great, you got a ton of money back, but what did you pay? Percentage of income and so forth.....nobody knew that.

BIL drove our Lighting extended range to Vegas this weekend, in COLD weather. He stopped both ways to play safe in Barstow, quick food, like 10 minutes and a top off. He has 800 pounds on BS in the bed. No issues both ways on range. At 70 degrees and no AC I drove it almost 300 miles, cold out, you need to stop briefly once. Basically a piss stop. We charged it in my garage 220V 30 amp outlet when here. Super quiet inside, no warranty claims at 13,00 miles. Ride is super nice, he loves it.

So $7,500 federal IRS tax CREDIT is price is below 80K, AND IRS 179 deprecation at 80% this year if you take it.

That tax credit is the maximum you can get. Not everyone qualifies for the maximum, most qualify for much less. But when you find that out the dealer has already set the hook and is busy reeling in the catch of the day.

As I understand it the income threshold is just a gross income for Married couples 300,000 and below but it can be averaged out over two years. Businesses are different. I think they can claim up to 15% max 7500. And lighting gets the max due to battery size. Wifeys new bmw X-5 plug in hybrid gets the $7,500 top, both on business side of the it’s return.
