A buddy just sent this froma FB page that his wife uses in their search. Is this for real?
How could California law restrict what they do in South Carolina? This is somebody messing with them. Or they don't want anymore Californicators ruining their area, LOL
South Africa did (maybe still does) this. Wealthy whites were free to leave, but your money stayed behind. Certainly prevented white flight.I'm skeptical, but I wouldn't be suprised if they initiate an exit tax somehow. Atlas Shrugged is one of their instruction manuals, after all.
Add sprinkler heads to that list.Ca stops all sorts of stuff being sent here…

Why not real estate info?
I do know that I see on a number of real estate ads in magazines, the nonsolicitation notice in the small print on the bottom of the ad

Well it might fix the real estate markets in at least a dozen states for all the locals currently priced out of their own areas if the CA money dried up.If Gavin ever finds out about that, he will be all over it.
As a refugee from Cali that moved to AZ in '12, I really don't mind the influx of retirees. That said, I moved here when the economy was still crap, and paid off the house. For the last 40 years I've watched guys from all over the country come to California and work 9 or 10 months of the year. Cuss the state and its Sh*tty politics while sending money back to any number of the other 49 states, where they call home because their state had a depressed economy, they watched their friends and family be unemployed.
But I spend nearly 50 years working in the state and choose to take my winnings and move to a depressed state, and I'm a bad guy?
I don't agree with the state or the politics, but you can't deny money is made here. I'm sorry my windfall might screw up your housing market.
Gavin knows he has a problem, but he is part of it, so his fix is to try and f*ck people on the way out.
It's not a bad life..Yeah, I'm not buyin it. As far as the weather, who else was "real surfing" over the holiday weekend in 70 degrees? Don't all respond at once. View attachment 1425262 View attachment 1425263
Our earned dollar is taxed more times than it should be. ( once is too many) But taxing us on money we could make should be against the law. It shouldn't even be considered.Unfortunately, the unrealized capital gains thing...that's when I'll start cussing.
Add sprinkler heads to that list.
There is a huge list of odd benign parts they refuse to ship to California for our own safety, I just hauled a combo sink/faucet from Utah because the faucet included flowed too much water.Chainsaw parts as well
You're not really selling it with the lack of sun in these picsYeah, I'm not buyin it. As far as the weather, who else was "real surfing" over the holiday weekend in 70 degrees? Don't all respond at once. View attachment 1425262 View attachment 1425263
Amazon won't ship me a Holosun red dot for my pistol. I haven't figured that one out yet. There is a huge list of odd benign parts they refuse to ship to California for our own safety, I just hauled a combo sink/faucet from Utah because the faucet included flowed too much water.
I could buy them separate, but the sink alone without the faucet was $100 more.
I don't agree with my state, but I have to be a realist about the income.
I make pretty good money relative to the nation, the climate is great, and the work is endless. it's been that way for 40 years.
Pay attention. Gavin has tried twice! Both times have failed but it sounds like he is gearing up for a third attempt. His idea is to tax you on your income and/or pension if you earned it while living in California, regardless if you have moved out of state.I'm skeptical, but I wouldn't be suprised if they initiate an exit tax somehow. I'm going to post this on one of my real estate sites and see if there is any truth to it. With all the crazies in the world, I don't know if I will get to the bottom of it, or create stir, but I will post my findings.

Many of the things I've found seem very arbitrary.Amazon won't ship me a Holosun red dot for my pistol. I haven't figured that one out yet.
Certain exotic leathers are a no-no. Like python, which isn't endangered.
You're not really selling it with the lack of sun in these pics
But alas, the average "Beach Californian" thinks this ^ is peak weather!
I always thought good beach weather involved the sun. To each their own, I guess.
I think it has to do with their willingness to print the prop 65 warning on the item. Many of the things I've found seem very arbitrary.

Lived in Newport Beach no less than 75 yard from the sand for four years in college. I've been in SoCal for 24 years.I get it, people who hate California (even the ones who live here) can't find anything to be positive about. Life is what you make it.
And lived happily ever after on their California pension.......I know quite a few state employees that retired then got out of Ca as soon as their last day of work….
Walked out of work, got in their car and drove to a new life … where the weather sucks !!
Cute little waves, boards and wetsuits…
Come on over to da aina if you want to surf waves without wetsuits year round.

It was always interesting to me that California beach living isn't all it's cracked up to be.
I talk to people who come to California to spend time at the beach and they say they didn't know it was overcast and almost cold except for July 1 - September 30. It's kind of a Montana short summer. When it's sunny and 75-85, the beaches are great. It's just not as often as advertised.
Just kinda pointing out that overcast and 70 isn't most people's beach weather. So the "Who else got to go surfing in undesirable weather like me?!" doesn't really have the effect on the masses. It comes off like AZ people saying oh 122 degrees is completely fine, I like the heat. I call bullshit on enjoying ass sweat just from walking to your car after work.
It's like some odd, California bias about the general consensus on good weather. This isn't hating on you or not finding anything positive about California. It looks like an awesome time for you and the family. Just can't be a fan of Seattle weather (Currently 67 and overcast there) at a SoCal beach on Labor Day Weekend.
Bro gotta completely disagree with you on this. First off chances are the sun came out and it was a hot afternoon in the photos @Sharpshooter posted above. Secondly, having lived right on the 1 yard line of the beach farther North myself for 35 years I can tell you without a doubt that the best weather is September through the end of February as long as it isn’t raining or blowing thru after a storm. Spring weather is the worst IMO. July and Aug are foggy for sure. The other thing to note is there are a hell of a lot of other places in California besides So Cal so as far as the crowding issues, so don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater …here’s a random phone pic from October showing what the beach looks like whether you’re in SD county or Ocean Beach SF in the fall and winter.Lived in Newport Beach no less than 75 yard from the sand for four years in college. Sun brings the tourists. Prime beach days don’t involve tourist. You're not really selling it with the lack of sun in these pics
