Flew into the Havasu for the first time. Easy flight from Camarillo. I could get used to that.

Living my dream. 300 mile in just over 2 hours.

The DA40 looks pretty slick. What’s the fuel burn on that plane? Bet it’s pretty efficient.

Havasu is just about the perfect GA mission for light GA. Far enough to make flying worth it but close enough to keep the pax happy.

That will burn 5 and 1/2 to 6 gallons per hour depending on how he likes to fly.
That has a Lycoming 360 in it. You can tell by the prop and the lower inlet.

It burns 8 to 9 and hour at 65% cruise power.

The diesel versions have the lower burn rate you point out but are much pricier.

Made it to Havasu in 1:45. Coming home today was 2:30 with a 30 mph headwind. We were right around 10 gallons per hour

Flew to Havasu from Cable a few years ago with an inmate. Very cool experience to make it in an hour. My wife went 6mos later. I think she’s still disappointed in me😬.

Yeah I didn't know you had that motor in it. I get 5 and 1/2 to 6 gallons burn rate per hour in my zenith zodiac 601

Not mine.

I just see a lot of planes every day as my office is at an airport.
