I’m terrified of shots and needles so never. Somehow I’ve survived 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've seen some b.r.u.t.a.l. cases of shingles. I'm not risking that shit.
My MIL ( 74 ) has had it for over a year and they say she could have it for life. It has been really bad and painful, she did no have the shingles Vax.

I've got it every year for maybe 20 years?

Never had any kind of side affect.

This year? Haven't made up my mind yet. Gots some homework to do.

Wife and me get all the shots every year. Have not had the flu in many, many years, can’t even remember, and we never got COVID. It’s all a crap shoot, just pick your poison.

It’s interesting, just saw a commercial last night for some new fangled flu shot. My spidey-sense tells me it’s the mRNA type or something else nefarious, just in the way the commercial was marketing it.

Cant trust anything now. We are the Guinea pigs for anything big pharma wants to try now and the govt is letting them do it.

I am shingles vax'd. I wasn't really clear in previous post.
There are some vaccines that you ignore at your own risk.
Shingles is definitely one of them ... and close to the top of list.

If you want to get a flu vax ask for the drug description flyer that comes with it - all prescribed drugs are required to have this - it has the ingredients, chemical makeup of the drug, clinical tests and side effects. If there isn’t one or if it’s blank, like the covid vax flyer, stay away. That means it is an experimental drug and not approved by the FDA. That also means that the drug companies that produce these injectables still have indemnification from any fiscal liability or lawsuits resulting from use if their product. And by taking that injection you agree that you do so willingly and will not hold the drug companies liable for any damages including temporarily or permanent disability or death.

Makes it much easier to choose if you want it or not.

I used to get the flu shot every year. Only made me feel ill once. Since covid, I will not get another. I do not trust big pharma or our government.

So I started feeling sick on Wednesday and by Thursday night it got so bad I went to the urgent care. I tested positive for Influenza A. It is no joke. Fever, coughing, complete congestion and the shakes so bad all my muscles were cramping to the point I was on my knees in pain. Seriously worse than the Covid I went through 6 months ago. First time I’ve had the flu in decades. Feeling a bit better today likely as a result of the anti-virual the Doc prescribed.

My wife now has it and it is just as bad. She got the flu shot and I did not. In our case, it does not appear to have made any difference..

I had major trachea issues years ago & my Pulmonologist said I couldn't afford to get the flu that was really bad back in 2010 & 11 so I started getting it yearly. I swore it made me twitch after the 3rd year, which took a year to go away, but doctors said nope, so I continued until Covid.

I had a routine exam with my GP last week & the nurse convinced me to get it after my visit with my doctor was done. My doctor, who's young in his 30's, simply unclicked for me to get it saying that I don't need it unless I really want it. I said nope, I'm good.

I have never had a flu shot but Dr. keeps pushing it. Does anybody here get the shot?

I get one every year. I started when it was required in the navy. Almost 63 now, and work 10 hours s day, 4-5 days a week. If it’s screwing up my body, I’m not feeling it.

My health issue has to deal with general pollen allergies, but the over the counter medicine seems to work. I’d rather have 1 shot, than take a pill everyday. 😉🍿

Almost everyone who was at the cabin for the family ski trip has tested positive for flu-type A.
Apx 50% had the flu shot. Everyone is the same boat - hydration and rest. Symptoms all started on vacation so when we got home and went to the doctor, it was too late for anything else. Tuesday we’ll be 14 days for me feeling off. Feeling better today, but have said that 4 times over the last 2 weeks. If I try to do too much, tomorrow I will be weak.

I've argued this for years with my Dr. He says look at it like insurance. Your getting the shot and hoping they picked the right strain. I then say so what do it get if they were wrong and I still catch it? Do they pay my missed days at work, prescriptions, discomfort, heck even my copay when I come back to the Dr? He says no, I say that sounds like the shity'st insurance ever.

During the scamdemic you would've tested positive for COVID! The in home test can't distinguish between the two strains. Only way know for sure is hospital test even then I would be suspect. Hospitals killed people with the wrong treatment just to get paid sad all around......

Camp Fever swept through Randsberg. Those of us with no flu shot got sick for 3 days, those of us like my wife with the flu shot remained healthy.

About 20 years ago I was at a Boatshow talking to a guy and he was paralyzed.. he said “you never believe it but he had gotten the flu shot and it put him in a wheelchair.” The odds are supposedly 1 in a million..

A year later I met another person that was in a wheelchair and they had the same story about getting the flu shot.. and ending up being paralyzed because of it..

I don’t think the odds are actually one in a million if I’ve met two people that are paralyzed because of that shot. 😳

Who got their flu shot during Covid?

It appears we gave the flu shots to EXACTLY the right people in 2021 to 2022! 190+ Million doses and only 5000 people died of the flu!

We gave out 20M more flu shots in 2021 and flu cases dropped by about 20M and deaths dropped 80+%!!

Wow!!! The efficacy of the flu shot is unbeliefable!! 😂😂

How is it possible that we reduced the flu by 73% in 2021, but that it came right back to the historical trend in 2022? How is is possible we almost eliminated flu deaths, and they came right back to the average a year later?

If the shot actually did anything other than lining the pockets of Big Pharma, why aren’t cases going down as flu shots go up?

The only other year of anomalies like this is in 2011… hmm that was the tail end of the Swine Flu pandemic.

We are going thru this right now in my house. Worse shit I ever been thru. The shakes are no joke. Im physically exhausted from coughing so hard.

I almost dragged my ass to Urgent Care this morning when I could barely make it to my car to take the oldest to school.

If you’re healthy, getting sick is one way of building immunity, but you need to survive for it to work. 😁

I pay for a person to come to the company and give flu shots to anyone who would like one, but rarely take one myself. I think it’s safe to say I’m done with shots. 🙏
