So nice to be a boat owner again. It’s been a long couple of months but here we are. Thanks to @84miller for the hookup. We sold our boat along with most other things we own to fund our home build. Stoked to score this deal in time to enjoy the last few months of summer before we get into Havasu boating season.

My 140 inline merc never gave me a bit of trouble, even tho I never changed the impeller in 5 years.

Pre mixed 50:1 and ran hard every time we took it out.

Good work Ryan, thanks for your help in my current situation. Enjoy and always be safe. I will be out in Parker next Monday to run my miller. The engine on that boat is a 76, 150 factory xs motor. XS is factory balanced, vented Crowl, low water pickup, coned nose, chopped prop. Made for speed. I purchased it after my wave runner blew up as I thought it would be a better replacement than another wave runner.

Super cool old pic! This has a 19p on it, seems to be a bit underproped. I am surprised how well it handles the chop.
Yes 19 is way off you should be running at least a 21. With a 19 not generating enough speed for that hull to get on top and start working.
I ran a 150 4 inches up on the transom (note picture) with a 23 no hub cleaver if I recall correctly.
In 1976 read an article of a guy that had a 200 Evinrude single seat and a few other tricks on one running right at a 100.

The first run went great but it started to develop what seemed like a fuel starvation issue. Mostly at higher throttle levels which turned into issues getting on plane as well. Was prepared for a fuel pump and/or carb rebuild.

Started tearing into things and just happened to notice that the small segment of what may not even be fuel line, between the final fuel filter and the carbs was deteriorating or shedding its inner liner? Anyways this is a small portion of what I cleaned from just one of the carbs between the fuel inlet and the needle. I think this will solve the issue. Test run coming as soon as the little guy wakes up from his nap.
