I actually like this better than a wake boat.

The video clip shows the boat and a wake surfer running the shoreline about 50' from private docks. The boat will fit right in with the rest of the idiots that destroy property and damage other boats.

Looks like fun for the wakeboarder and pure hell and destruction for everyone within a hundred yards.

I can't tell if that thing is a jet boat or a v-drive?

Personally I don't like the looks of it, but honestly I think the guy is going to make a ton of money.. He's hitting on the functionality of both tow boat and pontoon. The #'s don't lie and are right there in the article.. Tow boats are 10,000 units per year. Toons are 52,000 units.. He will probably land somewhere in between if they can ramp them up, market them and hold their share.

Two things that are interesting is they have the capacity to load 4 times more ballast in it than a traditional wake boat (which I gather they haven't done yet).. And the price point was expected to be 65-75,000 bucks.. That is going to appeal heavily to younger buyers. It's hard to buy any kind of decent boat for that price, let alone a wakeboard boat, or a pontoon boat.

I know most of you don't wakesurf but that wake is pretty terrible. The wakeboard wake looked pretty mediocre, too. I guess if it is cheap enough people might buy it. I would rather buy a used wakeboard if I was in the market.

I think we need to start a trend of approaching every one of those barges from their starboard as the stand-on vessel.
You likely mean Crossing from their Starboard. If you Approach from their starboard, that vessel will also be to your starboard.

I can’t tell how the bottom is shaped? Tritoon would be cool. Flat bottom or slight V not so much. Having a toon that can pull water sports sounds good

They ran the prototype at 42mph with 6000lbs of ballast. That's pretty damn good.
