Incredible weather. Little bit of smoke from Canada mid 80s perfect.

How’s the water temp? Does it need a wetsuit top or anything?

We drove around the west side of the lake up to Kalispell today (gun show), then down through Swan and Seeley Lake area to check out the small lakes and scout campgrounds and fishing spots. Had to drive out to Holland Lake to see what all the fuss is about. Then made a big loop over to Missoula and back to Polson. Gorgeous day today. The smoke is getting a little better every day.

Did you fly out of Polson? I thought you flew out of the north part of the lake.

I don’t see a trail/ road is that boat accessible only ….

beautiful and only 1 neighbor close by

is that just buried in snow during winter? Don’t think Amazon delivers out there - wife might not like it….

Amazon does not deliver to Montana. Very few roads. Most people just ride horses.

Actually, I think it's an image from one of the islands, which would explain the solar on the roof. You don't see that in this state unless it's off-grid and even then, if it's year-round accessible, solar is not the primary energy source.

The Governor vetoed a transportation bill this week that would have funneled marijuana tax money into the creation of rural roads in Montana. Sources say he wanted to maintain the rough and tumble atmosphere of Montana and prevent further influx of out-of-state residents. "We don't need no stinking roads" sources close to no one had said could be heard coming from behind the closed door of the Governor's office.

That’s what we are doing! I’ve been dying to go to Coure D’alene for years.
CDL is pretty epic mid summer, super fun town with good places to eat. Nice little RV park on the river mouth as well. We’re hitting bear lake on the way up to visit a buddy of mine who builds homes there, then Jackson for bit, and an outfitter horse camp my other friend owns between Tetons and Yellowstone. I have not been to Flathead in 20 years, looking forward to that stop for sure, then over to CDL and work our way back down. The girls said I can hold them captive for two weeks, otherwise I’d like to head up into BC. and end up on Vancouver island then work our way back down via San Jaun islands. I could cruise around all summer, however CHEER IS LIFE, so fuck me LOL

No clue who these folks were, I hit them up for a ride back to rv park from the dock at the resort l, good vibes in the PNW😂

Make sure you add Lake PendOreille to that list. Take the 200 along the lower Flate Head River and the Clark Fork. I would highly suggest trying to get a reservation at Quinns Hot Springs, but you will need to plan well in advance as that secret is out and they stay busy with limited space selling out. The 200 has a low bridge but I'm pretty sure it's 15'-6" clear. The 200 beats going over Lookout pass on the 90. That brings the suck in an RV.

If you use the 200 you can string together three big lakes and it's a lazier drive. Fewer turnouts, narrow, and not much for passing opportunity. If you decide to use the 90 maybe consider biking the Hiawatha trail. It is one of our favorite things to share up here. Border of Montana and Idaho. All downhill shuttle ride back to the top, you will need good headlamps for the tunnels. One tunnel is over a mile long. No lights.

Hopefully, we see you both when you come this way.

FWIW I like Sandpoint better than CDA, but they are both nice.
