For those who have a flagpole, what brand are you using? The flag keeps getting tangled in the wind. The step ladder now just sits outside to fix the flag!

Saw one on harbor freight for 57.99, but I’m always weary about buying anything for them, but the reviews are good. It’s silver.

Also- picked up a package from friends house and they got theirs from the OC fair. It was a nice bronze/brown color which goes with the house. “Uncommon USA” Price was $239.99 without the light. They love it, and it looked nice, but checking other options to see if anything is in the $100 range.

Are you looking for a real flag pole or one of these things that hangs at a 45° angle off the facia or something? I have a flagpole in my front yard...it's a 20' piece of pipe with an eyelet welded near the top, to which a pulley is attached and then there is a cleat on the bottom. It sits over post that's set in concrete. Works well.

Oldest flag & flag pole maker in the US started In 1847

I’m going to do a 25ft pole in Havasu, neighbor has a 20 footer and mine has to be a little taller.... his bends like a pretzel in the wind

Have a 20 or 22' aluminum one you can have would need a new wheel and pull cord. Need a rack to haul it located in Torrance.

Havasu flags and holders guy does a beefy 20 foot pole with two flags installed for $250, life time guaranty, he’s done a little over 1000 so far in the city. We have two, front yard and one out back by the guest house.

That's a good deal.

When I was rebuilding my awning, I had an extra 24 foot piece of galvanized 16 gauge. So far so good.
I used some galvanized chain link top post to make mine. Been up since a week after 9/11, 24/7. Weathered some wicked storms and winds. I have upgraded the halyard from nylon rope to a stainless cable.

Sorry for responding so late! Life got in the way this weekend!

Thanks everyone for showing me some other options. I’ll forward them to my dad to look at. I’ll post a picture as soon as it gets installed.
I just had to go fix the flag again. The current one is the one that hangs off the fascia board.

That’s a really good deal! Might have to do that for the Havasu house!

Real flag pole :). The current one is off the board and always gets caught up.

Got busy this weekend and installed the flagpole! Ended up with the Uncommon USA because it matched the house. Called the company directly and they gave me the fair deal and even more discounts! Even came with a USA flag and a second flag I could choose from. Picked the Navy for my cousin. He is in Navy JAG. Yep- like the show!

The ground was soft to dig. I put the pole sleeve in. Put some water, and then threw the opened concrete bag in there and put water on top of it. Rock solid the next day and put the pole in! It was pretty easy!

Looks great and doesn’t make a lot of noise either! Neighbors love it too!

United States Flag Store. Get a piece of chain link fence top rail from Lowe’s to slip inside to strengthen it in windy areas. We have the solar light on top also.
