Always loved them but don't want to clean or maintain them. My uber rich customer had a salt water tank built into his house. 500 gal or so. Talking with the guy, he spent over a million dollars in ten years on that aquarium. Some are just over the top.

Only if I could get sharks with laser beams and an unnecessarily slow dipping mechanism would I want an aquarium!

Extremely expensive to maintain and keep looking good. We have made a few, but fixed allot more. I have been in the dolphin tank and the Beluga whale tank at Seaworld fixing and polishing windows. I have done allot of work for Legoland Aquarium and also for Labs that do cancer research using certain seasnail DNA where they have large saltwater tanks. All I can say is , I would never own one myself. Never ending expense to take care of.

Always liked the look and sound of water features and the smell of moving water inside a building.

But I can get all that benefits of water, and save 90% of the headaches if I skip the fish part lol

W hotel in NYC was badass, never forgot how they did the water features. Might build it into my dream house one day

I had a 135 gallon tank for 12 years. It was a fresh water tank. Water changes every month, and a good cleaning.

It was made out of 7/8” glass, and was heavy.

Saltwater tanks are crazy money over time. Friends Dad had a company years ago that sold the Saltwater. He did really well until they tried a new venture. Collecting and selling corral. It pretty much drained him. My 2 buddies got some good traveling adventures out of it. Never was profitable.

I was into fish tanks for years. My last tank was 240 gallons. I had 12 red belly piranhas I got from a friend that outgrew his tank. Lots of live plants and geodes from the store natural wonders a friend managed. Some day I will have another but it will be freshwater.

I had a 250 gallon tank built into the wall, when I sold that house, it was a blessing to no longer have to maintain. New owners removed it

My 80gl tank from several years ago. It got much better about a year later then we moved so I gave all my reef/fish to my buddy that had a 380gl tank.

There’s 9 fish in there. They hide in crevices until feeding time.
