There are certainly times when the weather tax is worth it me thinks.
The sunshine knocked down a birdfeeder here yesterday, but that was the extent of the damage. I did get a piece of birdseed stuck between my toes while I was cleaning it up (wearing flip flops)...but I was able to resolve that quickly.

You go right on thinking that...next drought, rolling blackouts...your weather tax money going to pay for medical benefits for illegals (including "gender reassignment).

Much easier to shovel snow from the sidewalks than homeless people. Oddly enough, where you have one, you don't have the other ;)

You're not seriously trying to tell me AZ doesn't have droughts are you?? Did you forget you live in the desert? 🤔

Or illegal aliens?? Or alphabet people??

Comon man! AZ is as blue as blue can be, AND you have fucked up weather to boot! 🥶🥵😁

We don't get Hell hot here...the trade is it does get a little cold. We don't have a big illegal problem in my area...the ones that are here mostly work at the restaurants, or for other Mexicans that are "contractors"...for now. We have a few L B and G's I think, but not so many of T's...or maybe they just pull it off better?

We have two cities that are as blue as Cali...and I don't live near either. Hell, way back when, the blues were more red than the reds we currently have in office! Now they just try to out stupid each other!

There seems to be a lot of that going around...

In Texas, just winterized my smaller palm trees the other day. I wrapped the trunks with a bunch of incandescent mini christmas lights, then wrapped insulation around the trunks with double lights and insulation near the ground. Those lil guys are nice and toasty and sippin hot cocoa and no chance of freezing!! I hope.

Seems to be the new thing. Seeing it more and more in the last year or two. Rural roads or freeways. Fog, hard rain, snow, idiots driving with their flashers on for miles. So now you don’t know when theirs an actual “emergency”.
The SoCal mountains are famous for this. I call these drivers members of the blinking 12:00 club. Too stupid to know what the hazard lights are for. Makes me want to make them an actual hazard by pitting them out of the way.

They also drive like 10 mph in all conditions except bright sunshine and NEVER use a turnout.

I’m fine if they want to go as slow as they want to but what’s not ok is not getting out of the way of everyone else who wants to get home that day. Use a goddam turnout, fuckstick!

There are specifically made and marketed bilge heaters that a lot of people have historically used myself included. Except that all changed when the power grid collapsed and most insurance policies have been rewritten to not cover freeze damage unless the boat has been fully winterized by a proper marine mechanic.

Now what happens is the insurance company will ask the customer for the invoice that shows the boat was winterized and then they will turn around and use that invoice to sue the company that did the winterization for the cost of the new engine or other froze broke components.

Very few people winterize with me because I now disable the engines when I winterize them or make the person sign a piece of paper releasing me of liability for any freeze damage.

Rich peoples problems.😉

And, take your trash home with you! Thousands of Modelo packs in the turnouts…

Forecast was all over the board, 3-12". It had been blowing in pretty good, but started to slow now. Maybe 6-8 so far? The Prius had no issues running in to town, but a lot of idiots having trouble staying on the road. I grew up in SoCal, but some of these folks must be from a different planet
