Maybe I’m alone on this but I thought matrix was horrible.
I thought the story was bad and the speical effects were un believable.

I mean there were so many plot holes and wtf how did this go on with out people knowing. The only good thing too come out od the movie was the red pill reference

The abyss was one
Ah! The Abyss was a phenomenal movie! Awesome affects and crazy plot twist as well!

By the way, I'd have to say Lord Of The Rings trilogy was a mind blower for me. AWESOMELY done.

I use to hide in the theater between the rows of seats to watch On Any Sunday over and over and over again in 1 day.
I saw the Legend of Hell House when I was a little kid. That was stupid....it scared the shit out of me.

for some reason "The Legend of Boggey Creek " stands out to me.
I was 8-9 years old.
The Fog was another. Well maybe that was because of Adrenne Barbeau

The only movie that I walked out of the theater with my mind blown was...

Pulp Fiction

Agree....one of the best movies ever.

The first Star Wars when I was a kid really blew my mind.

Two other (Quinton Tarantino movies) are so good!

True Romance
Reservoir Dogs

Sin City blew me away as an adult, No Country for Old Men as well.

Minority Report is one that I had to watch several times to wrap my head around
Hell i worked on Minority Report and still had to think about it

When I saw Bruce Dern kill John Wayne in The Cowboys it has always stuck with me. I really liked the movie Muholland Falls with Jennifer Connolly and Nick Nolte. Even though Bruce Dern has a bit part and is a positive role I still don’t like him.

It wasn't the actual movie but I was able to buy beer at an indoor theater.
Whatever theater is at that Scottsdale Fashion Square.
They had a nice selection. :)

Exorcist freaked me out!

My wife will not watch that movie still. We used to get high and watch it in high school. It was funny actually

Sometimes I will put in on and pause it on the bed scene . Wife gets so passed.

was going to say "saving private ryan" but it was already said. Came out of that one and saw a few older guys crying, It impacted me pretty good.
Comedy wise, I really laughed at "something about mary" and "sausage party".

When I was a little kid I watched The Crawling Eye and it kind freaked me out. We had just put a new addition on the house and the creaking of the timbers settling almost had me convinced that a giant eye was sitting on the roof ready to strangle me with it's optic nerve.

Then in high school I took a date to see Carrie. It's a pretty tame movie by today's standards but back then it was pretty un-nerving. The whole theater walked out in silence just kind of stunned but what they had just seem.

I make it a point not to watch slasher movies and gore fests because I don't see any real entertainment value in them. I adopted that philosophy after I saw Nightmare On Elm Street.

When I saw Saving Private Ryan at 16...
Saving Private Ryan was an eye opener for a lot of people. We all grew thinking that when we stormed the beach's of Normandy we just landed and kicked ass. The truth is that it's more like we just kept throwing men at them until they ran out of ammo.

I remember my dad taking me and saying I needed to see it. I sat there just thinking how all those men had lives back home to be basically executed. I flew to New Zealand once and thought to myself you can get on a plane and fly to hell in 24 hours. Not NZ just in general.

The Shining.

Saw it as a teenager. When they showed pictures of Jack Nicholson from 70 years before, I was done....

And I watched it at The Casino theatre on Avalon. That place still kinda freaks me out when I see it...

Big Wednesday was cool, Jan Michael Vincent and Gary Busey as Leroy the masochist.

You guys remember Pat Garret and Billy the kid with Kris Kristofferson?

Interstellar is a trip

Is that the one where they couldn't build doors or windows to seal their house up from dust so they built a space ship to travel through inter-dimensional portals to live somewhere less dusty? @Kfabe :D

I think everyone has covered it but Fight Club for sure, such an excellent movie.

Usual suspects was another 'Whoa wait a second"

Yes terrible dust.

All the space black hole shit has always made me think what in the fuck is going on.

I thought it was a pretty good movie visually and the space and time travel plots were good, but they had to shoe horn in the climate change shit

When we were walking out of the Theater @Kfabe turned to me and said something along the lines of "So they had to do all that bullshit because it was dusty and the crops were sick? Wouldn't it have just been easier to fix the crops and build some decent windows?" :D

Ya the undertones were stupid.

I went to some big sking movie premier a couple months ago here in SLC because my dad made me. Well they get it started and have this anti climate change shit with Trump and all at the beginning than instantly pivoted to record snow fall in 18-19 etc and raved about it etc. I stood up grabbed my kids and walked out.

Fritz The Cat
Piranha! LHC BaHahahaha!!

I haven't seen fritz the cat in years. I might try and find that online.

I saw Roadhouse at 8 years old. That was eye opening.

Mulholland drive was the first movie I ever saw that made me say wtf did I just watch.

Recqruim for a dream still messes with me.
