Photo dump from our quick tour through the event. The event has huge potential. Love the fact that it’s spread out and you’re not shoulder to to shoulder with all of Havasu. It was very cool to see all the tow vehicles as well as anything and everything that matches the theme. There’s some ridiculous stuff out here.

PS. The Riviera neighborhood is next level. The views from the area are awesome. Hats off to the developer(s).

Definitely hot yesterday at show.

It was very well laid out with plenty of room..

Only thing I would suggest
is have it a different weekend..
Not week before another event..
That's just my .02 opinion.. lol

Point to have it weekend after DS is so it appeals to more people making the trek from Florida back east etc. they stay for both events.

+ and - to having it before or after DS
SCF @ LOTO is right before the shootout. Makes it a complete week of events, which makes sense.
Doing that in Havasu is difficult in the Spring. The weekend crowd drives the boating population.
The events are completely opposite IMO and work best together. DS is the poker run and shootout, SCFW is parking lot party, dock party and fun runs to different locations on the lake. As SCFW grows, look for fun run to different areas (Springs, Topock, Needles, etc.) as those spots figure out how to support a fun run to breakfast, lunch, etc…

+
  • Allows for Midwest and East coast boats to make it an extended Havasu trip, not just a weekend. I could see more east and midwest guys coming in the future for both events
  • spectators have 2 weekends of events

-
  • Vendors have 3 weeks of events (boatshow, DS, SCFW)
  • spectators have 2 weekends of events, might have to pick one over the other

Street fair was packed and always seems to be packed.
Is it because it's downtown?
People only get to pick one event?
Just askn ???
Not puttn anything down or the event.

Ds a week earlier vs pictures above?

I could be wrong and the pictures were taken early before the crowd but based of sun it looks to be late afternoon, same as below lol. Maybe the party is today (Friday) idk

Street Fair is packed because of its location. Easier for Havasu locals to get to IMO. Can take the SXS without getting onto the 95.

Some folks have to pick one event over the other. Others are participating in both and spectators are mixed. I attended parts of DS and I am attending parts of SCFW.

It’s nice to see an actual band over a DJ. You couldn’t hardly talk at the RDP booth at DS last few seasons I was there. It was obnoxiously loud.
It got loud last night.
The stereo wars between setups caused us to leave.

That was for participants and VIP’s.
Seating area, etc is what I saw when I walked by it.
I think it also has a bar with a smaller line

Super CAT Fest is awesome! It's like DS but better with a really cool beach vibe. I enjoyed the displays being laid out so you were not crowded, LOVED going on the docks to see the boats and talk to the drivers, the live band was great, the food trucks were amazing and what day in Havasu is complete without watching the sunset on the water? The VIP tent has coolers, a bar, and really comfy sofas to take in the amazing view! Today the Vendor Village and Docks are open at 4 pm-10 pm with Matt Farris live at 6 pm. Come get some dinner, and enjoy the sunset over the beautiful boats. I highly recommend the Dole Whip pineapple bowl! Oh yeah, I will be there too and would love to meet you in person! Here's my photo dump.

We didn’t draw the general public like I had hoped. We had 1-2000 people at its peak. Street fair at DS pulls in 30+k.

We aren’t in the middle of downtown either though.. so it’s harder to pull that big of a crowd. Logistically speaking though it would be impossible to pull that off just because the parking alone. We bladed off several parking lots and had parking for about 2,000 cars.. we filled up three of the five lots.

The other thing is the area is a very wide and spread out area so you aren’t ever going to get that crowd(ed) pic at the riviera.

The good news is while it wasn’t packed, the dollars are there, so the right people are here. Charlie brought that millionish dollar Sea Ray and has several very interested parties that are going on demos this weekend. MTI left the 50CC and a 44’ cat and from what I’ve heard they are doing demos already..

The boat mfg’s don’t care about crowds.. they’d rather talk to two guys with bank accounts than ten thousand that don’t.. the food trucks and other vendors want the crowds. For my purposes of rdp and TRDP we want the crowds.

Demon Bikini did over 5k Jist at the registration party, I haven’t had a chance to get caught up with her yet to see how she did in vendors village.. we ordered over 1,000 supercat shirts and we have already sold out of some sizes..

For a first year event I’m happy with it.

Is that beach area a place to pull a boat into on a regular day ? Or is that “private”?

Swim area for kids. They rushed and out that in for supercat. They will be adding more sand around the point where people can use park boats etc

Pics above are at the Riviera & not the very public "Main Street".

It looks like an event I would really enjoy, I’m sure it will grow maybe even into a too crowded event that I wouldn’t enjoy as much.

Pics above are at the Riviera & not the very public "Main Street".
Aware of that. Showing that riviera has couple hundred people. DS has thousands of people for the same style event day (parking lot/street fair) look at boats type deal

Dave said the $$$$ is there so that is all that matters at the end of the day so good for that.

I thought this would have drawn way more spectators than shown. I am not there so not 100% sure too

On a positive note, every single participant has mine Alvin’s and Jake, Tyler’s and Stacys phone numbers in case they need something. The only calls we have gotten so far are people saying it’s going great. We haven’t had a single complaint yet and every single one of them says they are in for next year. So that’s good. I checked with all of our upper sponsors this morning to see how they felt about it and if there’s anything they want to see or change and all of them said they are having a blast and want to do even more next year.

The only incident we have had so far didn’t actually happen at the event. A girl crashed an e bike pretty bad up on the 95 at the entrance to the riviera. We got her fixed up as best we could and Amy from TRDP took my truck and gave her husband a ride to downtown so they could get their car and get home ok.

Honestly with the amount of promotion we did I was surprised there wasn’t more of the locals as well. It was hot as balls though so.. lol. Who knows.. we will see how the dock party goes tonight. :).

That's really cool! How close is that beach to the boat launch? I recently upgraded to a larger boat and am pretty much a one-man operation when it comes to launching/retrieval. It gets a little stressful launching, docking, running to the truck, parking it and running back. That beach could potentially make my life a lot easier if its close to the launch area.

Desert Storm announced yesterday that they are moving it to this weekend next year. 😳. I’m not sure what that’s all about.. but I was a little surprised by it.
