Looks like the rain is starting to come down out there and gonna last a while. Hope it helps with the fight.
Can anyone in that area confirm it's raining?

Five helos and the Bronco working it. No Tankers all morning. Bronco pattern is pretty telling where he's focusing.

Well I guess the warning turned to an order. We still are outside of it but not by much. Kids schools are closed today.

We are only about a mile or so from the evac order but like Joe said, I'm not sweating too much yet. Gonna go clean some stuff up in the backyard and continue to monitor. If anyone needs a truck I am ready to help.

Shout out to @Good Stuff

He, along with his daughter and her boyfriend spent last night building pens in the dark on a property in Menifee, for evacuated animals. Well done man!!!
It was that or watch my fantasy football team underperform. 😜 They have to relocate the rest of them out of the other shelter since it’s now inside the new evac zone. Will be moving enclosures around again this afternoon.

No rain here yet. I’m in Menifee on the east side of the 215. A few miles from the command center

North San Diego county. Got out at 7:00 this AM for my hike. Most of it was spattered with rain drops but not heavy. Consistent rain started around 9 and hasn't let up.
Hope it helps tame the Menifee fire. Friend of my wife was evac'd and had to get her horses moved out too.

It’s raining at my MIL’s house, she left and a friend grabbed her horses. She can see the rain in her blink cams. The roads are closed around there according to her so she can’t get back.

Crazy wind here. Just started raining in long beach. Hopefully enough rain to put it out.

Flew over the area today and fire is pretty much out, couple smoldering areas that they still have to attend to.
got a warning on my phone that most evacuations were lifted.
The storm yesterday was a game changer.

we are lucky that storm did what it did.
I saw some forecasts that had the fire going through Temecula, if the winds stayed hurricane force into Friday evening. That was the huge reason the zones were extended as far as they were.
